As for warning gays. The Methodists have a pretty gentle way of approaching this. The main point is that we provide gays or ex-gays resources to help them if they desire to change or live a celebrate life. Though I think this is actually quite rare an occurrence.
If someone doesn't want to change, I don't think screaming in their face that their going to hell is going to solve that.
In the end I don't really think that its the act necessarily that damns us, its the state of the heart. If someone is very arrogant in their ways they will blasphemy the Holy Spirit and that's what will damn them. Someone who is open to God's will can be forgiven though.
I don't think Paul's list is either exhaustive or definitive, and God will ultimately be the judge of a person heart.
