Just a curiosity, how many Christians, when they were new Christians, just seemed to know the teachings of the bible for no reason at all, without ever having read it much?
To me that is really weird. It started at about the same time I met my husband. We came from two different faiths, and I had been, prior to my meeting him having some spiritual dilemmas and struggles. After I met him however, I literally felt as if I was under some kind of spiritual attack - nearly constantly.
From time to time I would have a thought come into my head that I just had to say, either to someone I was speaking to or on another forum etc - so I would say it. Well, my husband (before he was my husband) would tell me, "That is a bible verse" and I'd be like nooooo.... and he would show me, that what I just said was from the bible.
It's happened quite a lot now... I'm getting a bit preachy really since much of what I need to say apparently comes from the bible. This is, from never having had one. It's a lot of what made me really start looking into Christianity since the knowledge didn't come from myself.
Are things like this regular occurrences for new/prospective Christians?
(PS. there is a reason I don't ask my husband about religion, we made an agreement prior to our marriage and its best to stick with it, at least for now)
