The event that Paul speaks of in 1 Thessalonians 5:2-6 is not the rapture, but the "day of the Lord', so the only way for the rapture to be the next prophetic event is if it and the "day of the Lord" are one in the same.
As has been articulated to you before my friend, you are confused in the process of Bible prophecy because you have become rooted in the SDA teachings which are in error on this particular event.
In the study of Eschatology, these two events appear to be similar but are in fact separate. Both happen during the end times and both describe a return of Christ. Yet there are key differences. The following is a comparison of the Rapture and the Second Coming of Christ, highlighting the key differences noted in Scripture and I encourage you to study them instead of listening to others who may lead you away from the literal Word of God.
1) Meeting in the Air - Versus - Returning with Him
In the Rapture , believers meet the Lord in the air.
1 Thessalonians 4:16-17..............
"For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever."
In the Second Coming, believers return with the Lord. There my friend is the KEY to understanding!!!
Revelation 19:14
"The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean".
