Did He speak to me?

I thought that it would be cool to be a pastor and have my own church built and for me to write a simplified version of the KJV Bible. But those are things that God has to approve. I have learned that if it is not in God's Will, it will most likely fail horribly. I also have figured out (or maybe it was the Holy Spirit, but this was long ago) that you cannot do anything of God without God.
Bother Juk, In the last days in which we are now living, God is pouring out of his Spirit upon all flesh, and there will be sons, and daughters who shall prophecy. They shall see visions, and dreams. The Lord gives "visions" to these young people as a sign to up coming events. Some of these "visions" are given to show that person what they would do for God in the future. This is all normal to those who are called into the ministry, and even though the vision is for an appointed time, wait for it because it will surely come, and in the end it will speak. Never discount these kinds of desires, as a person who delights himself in the Lord, the Lord gives them the desires of their heart. Not that the Lord will give you what you are desiring for, but he will place his desire for your life in you so that your desire is now his desire.

Then my life will be full.

Those can very well be things that God could have put in your heart. Things that God is going to train you for in the future. Good pastors are very instrumental in people's lives. So if you draw close to God now and discipline your flesh to obey God's ways, and train yourself to hear the Spirit, then when God says go, you are ready.

The Kingdom of Heaven sounds awesome. That is why I want to spread the Gospel. But I am an introvert, and I am socially awkward. I only talk to people about my faith through written language, never spoken. That is why I am waiting for God to tell me what He wants me to do.

Remember that God needs those who write also, and that your actions can display you faith too. It's really a good thing for you to be waiting on the Lord! And building your trust in Him. Because whatever He tells you to do, then He will give you what you need to accomplish it.

Juk, I am a very introverted person, and when the Lord told me to teach his Word, I was not very happy. My unhappiness was because I was not a smart person, and I had a terrible time in talking to people. What the Lord called me to do was impossible for me to do. I knew that and the Lord also knew this, but when the Holy Spirit comes upon a person he changes that person into something he was not before. The Lord really does not need our help, we are the ones that need his help.
The only thing the Lord is looking for is a willing person to offer their body as a living sacrifice unto him, and he will take that person, fill him with his Spirit, and begin to operate through that person. It's all about the Lord in what he does through us and not what we do. Our inabilities vanish away as he takes control.

So, it's all about being willing?

Have you ever heard the saying, "Bloom where you are planted?"

The Lord will not make you do anything, you have to be willing for him to use you. Ask him to use you for his Glory. Offer your self to him with all your inabilities and all. It is not until you loose your life that you will truly find life, and it makes no difference how old you are.

Is that why the Bible says, "All who save their life shall lose it, and all who lose their life shall gain it?"

Nope. What does it mean?

It means that wherever you find yourself in life, commit your way to the Lord, and put yourself full-throttle into the tasks at hand---as the word says, whatever you find your hand to do, do it with all your might. So, as we are found faithful in the littler things we are given to do, God sees that and as He finds us trustworthy, He will entrust us with more and increasingly more responsibility in Him.

My pastor was chosen from among the congregation to be our pastor, out of a couple other men who vied for the position (he didn't, as he is a very shy man in nature---you wouldn't know it today). He and his wife had, since they came to our church, been very faithful to the work, bringing their children along, sometimes in their pajamas for meetings, and they cleaned toilets, and did everything that anyone could possibly volunteer to do---self-sacrificially---and showed themselves faithful with small things.

He has been our lead pastor now for about 30 years, and his wife, son and daughter are also pastors over us. The church has grown amazingly in vision and numbers under his careful lead, and we are about to split to a satellite church in another part of our city. All this is the fruit of a man who was willing to be fruitful, allowing God to use him right where he was, without the human ambition for more. God issues the call, and He equips and establishes the called.

In the natural world you usually pay something to get something. It does not make any logical sense to loose something to get something. That is contrary to this worlds thinking. Well, it is not logical thinking, it is spiritual thinking.

Amen. This is why many people reject God. They demand evidence that fits their logic, and they will not get that. The Bible says that unbelievers think that God's Word is foolishness.

I usually do "my best" when I work. I guess it's time to top that now.

I think it is awesome how the Lord made the wisdom of this world to be foolishness with God and that the Wisdom of God is foolishness with men. They are both complete opposites. Those who know the truth are amazed at the unbelief of those who refuse to believe, even though the Lord has shown them their error.
Jesus was even amazed at some who had no faith at all.....

Mar 6:4 Jesus said to them, "A prophet is not honored in his hometown. He doesn't receive any honor among his relatives. And he doesn't receive any in his own home."
Mar 6:5 Jesus laid his hands on a few sick people and healed them. But he could not do any other miracles there.
Mar 6:6 He was amazed because they had no faith. Jesus went around teaching from village to village. (NiRV)
