How Do You Like The New Design?

You miss the 'latest threads' link? How is it different from 'whats new'? Sorry what we have is what's written by the developers of this forum software. Anything extra may be available as an add-on on their website. I will search for that.

It is not a big thing. The 'latest threads' link is a bit different since it also list the posts you have read and since it also have a small resume of the posts. I just wondered why it was hidden away.

As I said, the overall impression is great.

Jeffin, I am seeing more and more lately a posting problem with Bible verses and links.
In composing a reply, I might have
Mat 5:3. "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
That is a copy/paste from E-Sword, Matthew's gospel ch5 v3. just in case hopefully the forum s/w will drop the reference again
When I come to upload as a post, I find that the Bible reference has been dropped. the most recent has been after returning to the forum a few hours after starting, thus relying on the draft copy.
Can you please look into this problem or have someone else look at it please. see now it didn't do it this time and I am at a loss to know why.

Just out of interest, have you attempted refreshing your web page?
I have had that issue in the past but not recently.

This morning OZ time, I was typing out a reply but needed to go visiting. Switched the computer off and when I returned and started things up. I noticed that all the Bible links were gone from the draft. I have experienced this problem many times in the past but I can not honestly recall the exact circumstances other than this latest happening.

Calvin - Please check the manner in which your browser handles the storage of cookies. If a cookie is timed out or is deleted by the browser history 'settings', some features may not be found at the next log in. In this case, you may wish to copy and paste your work into a Word Processor and when you are ready to continue, paste that info back into a new post start and see if that helps. I am not a tech guru at all, but I have noticed those losses myself in other forums, so I save my draft work in my own computer rather than relying on a forum to save it properly for me.

Our webmaster, Jeffin, is on assignment at the moment, but will be back here to check on tech items soon. Thank you.

OK, will check the cookie handling.
Some times..well once in a blue moon I use a word processor, but I guess I'm just lazy. I always tell my self to use a wp, after a loss of Bible references but by the time for the next post........well...
BTW, I never loose text neither mine nor copy pasted text. I have also tried indenting pasted scripture verses but no joy.
One thought I'm having that Jeff when you read this you might investigate, is that a scripture reference such as Jon 1:1
is different from the text body as the forum treats it as a link to the online Bible or something. Maybe maybe that has something to do with it.
anyway I must admit a wp is a good idea.(y)

I have noticed that this problem is (seems) only if I use the 'more options' feature, ie. if I want to preview a post before submitting it. here is a test without actually clicking preview itself.
. Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.
that was Rev 3:20, and all that was done was to click on more options.
Are others finding this as well?

I wonder if Linux could cause it?
If you have a smart phone, try it on there; this is what I'm typing on now.

This is a post using 'Oracle' same passage.

Hmmm OK this has been previewed using 'more Options'
Sadly Firefox is no longer supported for LINUX I don't think.
The only smart phone I have is smarter than me:(

Interesting that Chrome has the same difficulty as Firefox.
I note there a totally new version of Fire fox, the Beta version (37) was released on April 1st 2015 and V38 is due for release on May 12 2015. It will be intersting to see.

Belold I stand at the door and knock....
OK this post was compiled with widoze 7 and firefox all was good until I clicked on the 'more options' button, then 'Rev 3:20' disapeared. While there may be the odd work around such as using Oracle and maybe Safari
But 2 operating systems and two entirely different builds of firefox plus google chrome sitting on top of a ubuntu chrominium build says there is a bug in the forum software. I'll just wait til Jeffin returns or some other admin with the requisite knowlege to fix it if fixable.

So don't click the "more options"... you have a 30 mins to fix your errors after posting should you find one...

Hi Calvin. I use " water fox" exclusively for 64 bit system on all my things I do. i have no problems with it. You might want to try this if your system is 64 bit instead of 32 bit. Just a thought.

Thanks for the thoughts.
Waterfox has no build suitable for Ubuntu/Linux OS and seems to be plagued with problems running under 'wine' which is a windoze emulator.
Also, I am still running 32bit. But thanks for the thoughts.
