Peace - the greater state

I have noticed a lot of people are experiencing some form of hardship, confusion or strife. Many struggle with where they are in their relationships, personal being and work situation, so I decided to do a rough write-up on peace, more a case to challenge the mind, but gaining results will require some work on your part, but fret not as I will provide some clues and pointers.
I have done this as I find myself in places of strife and inner war from time to time.
I will first try to broadly define what peace is, but it can be described as an inner harmony, a place of safety, prosperity and salvation. If you have peace you have a special quietness and rest an inner completeness, lacking nothing, a place of soundness of mind, no confusion and fear, beautiful contentment and importantly shalom.
This concludes part one.

Part two.
Can one ever say peace is equal to anything? Of course yes.
Did you know there is a special relationship between righteousness and peace? If you are disappointed in the stock market, the following bit will surely yield you a continual upward trend and is good for investment. According to the word of God if you find a state of righteousness the fruit thereof is peace, but also that if you sow peace you will reap righteousness.
Think I'm wrong, go search the Word. I would further like to say that peace and righteousness are equals in the kingdom of God. So then, is peace something important that we should actively pursue? Oh yes.
Is peace equal to anything else? Yes, YHVH God, Christ the Son and also the kingdom of God. So if you have peace, you have the kingdom of God. So is peace something important for us to search after and chase hard to obtain? Oh yes.
What else? Peace, glory and honour have been quoted at the same level. Is this biblical? You tell me.
Have I left anything out? No? Of course I have. Is Holy Spirit, Ruach Hakodesh, not important? How does keeping a bond of peace translate to Holy Spirit? See if you can find it, the clue is in the question.
But there is more to your relationship with Holy Spirit and it has to do with joy. Can you find it and apply it to peace?
I also have a part three and four for those interested, but let us chew on this blade of biltong first.

A very special passage:

Philippians 4:4-9

4 Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice! 5 Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do. Remember, the Lord is coming soon.

6 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. 7 Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

8 And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. 9 Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you.

Scripture tells us the Joy of Thee Lord is our strength. Have you ever took the time to figure this one out ? Joy here has nothing what so ever to do with happiness. Happiness depends on feelings or emotions but True Joy of the Lord comes from Loving God and renewing your mind unto the ways of the Lord.

The joy of the Lord will allow you to not be moved when tragedy strikes for you will stay full of Joy and focussed on His written word and your faith is the same constantly day in and day out. Nothing moves you or shakes you.

Now tell me this.........any better peace then this ?
Blessings
Jim

Jim, you are absolutely right, happiness is an external and fading quality, I think people have so many things because they have not realised this yet, so keep on buying things to have a bit of happiness.
The point is, we have to hunt after peace, peace that we can only have in God. But there are things that determine/affects our peace, like being blameless and upright in God's eyes, meekness, focussing on God the Father and Jesus Christ, have a mind governed by the Holy Spirit and by paying attention to God's commandments. If we do not aspire to these, we will not have peace or joy.
Once we have peace, we will also have happiness, but a stronger happiness.

And this actually takes hold of part three of what I would have done.
So tell me Jim, did you get hold of my notes?

Proverbs 2:6 tells us that wisdom comes from His mouth so I expect we be just getting things from the same source !! (y)
