Who's sin entered the World?

Whose sin came into the world. Was it Adam's sin, or did Adam allow sin to enter into this world?

Rom 5:12.. Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

My understanding is that Adam (and Eve) made a choice, That choice made had caused the potential sin nature, to become realized. Through that, we inherit the result. The potential sin nature (the ability to make a moral choice) was necessary for the Lord to create beings that could glorify Him by rejecting the choice to sin. Does anyone have a better way of saying this?

I think it was both. It was Adam allowing sin to enter the world by bringing in the rebellion that originated from Satan's temptation. It was Adam's sin because he actually rebelled against God by disobeying Him.

Are we not all descendants of Adam? So, our first father could be said to be Adam. If it was Adam's sin that came into this world, then why did Jesus say this to the religious leaders of his time?

Joh 8:44.. Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

It seems to me if it was Adam's sin that came into this world Jesus would have said, "you are of your father Adam......"

Amen and add this to it, what did the fruit hold that was not to be released into this world ?

We also have this scripture.....

1Jn 3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

Why not is he the commits sin is of Adam if it was Adam's sin that came into this world?

Did Jesus come into this world to destroy the "works" of Adam?

For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

Adam disobeyed God which let "sin and death and more eveil" into this world. Yes that was a sin for disobedience and adam payed for it as the ground was now cursed and adam would have to sorrow with the earth. ( sorrow means toil or struggle in work)

Adam now faced death for the first time and it took the devil another 900 pluss years to get adam to submit to it.

It is because Satan is the source of sin and evil, just like God is the source of righteousness and good.

I don't know as it say when Lucifer became satan, whether it was before or after the garden was created. I imagine Lucifer became satan before the tree was created.

Adam was the supreme authority in the universe before he sinned. It was his job to do just one thing: not to eat of that tree.

As such, he allowed sin to come into him, literally, by eating the fruit of the forbidden tree. It's just like the Ten Commandments, once you know it's wrong and then do it, it's sin. Until then it's innocence.

Here's the is the meaning of the Greek word entered:

εἰσέρχομαι (eiserchomai )
1. to go out or come in: to enter
a. of men or animals, as into a house or a city
b. of Satan taking possession of the body of a person
c. of things: as food, that enters into the eater's mouth
2. metaph.
a. of entrance into any condition, state of things, society, employment
1. to arise, come into existence, begin to be
2. of men, to come before the public
3. to come into life
b. of thoughts that come into the mind

If I say "Waterfall" I caused the image in your mind of a waterfall. If I had said your vice, then you'd be thinking of that thing that makes you weak.

This is a VERY important point, every time we sin, we allow the devil to have ground in our garden. In order to maintain our relationship with Jesus (not our salvation - our relationship!) we have to get rid of that seed of sin. When we sin, we open the door for the enemy to walk in. That's what Job did with his fear. That's what Adam did with eating the fruit. Until Israel was told not to make graven images, they never wanted to. After being told it was wrong, they did it, and 3000 died! Sin must be dealt with in our lives. There's no way around it. What Jesus did on the cross was to free you from the bondage of sin, meaning you're free to walk away from it. But YOU have to walk away from it. He made the way, you have to walk in it. Salvation is MUCH MUCH more than just changing your destination after death.

The sad thing Brother Abdicate is to many believers have gardens still full of thistle and it does not have to be this way. I know my garden is not as full as it once was but brother there is still a lot of weeeding left to be done.
Blessings

It seems to me that it was because of one man, sin entered into this world because of his disobedience. Sin and death was already in existence, and Adam had the "authority" over all of the works of God hands to keep it out. I believe it was Adam that allowed "sin" to enter this world, and to bring death. Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil, by taking away what "sin" used to keep man in bondage which was the "law" where sin received it strength, and power from.

1Co 15:56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
