A God Thought

In each of Paul's epistles within the first seven versus he makes this declaration.
"Grace be unto you, and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ " first Corinthians 1:3.
It is my understanding that "Grace and peace" are a result of God being Father.
Why are there so many believers in the world who do not have Peace? This is because they know Him as the Omnipotent God but have never come to know Him as Father.
There is no way to know God as Father and not have the peace of God the Father.
Many believers know Him in many different ways but never know Him as Father.
Many use the term Father but that is all it is, not a heart knowledge indwelling the believer. To know Him as something less than Father is to put yourself on a lesser plane then God intended you to be.

Actually, I believe most who claim to be Christians are just the "pray after me, 1,2,3 - BAM! You're saved" crowd. Real Christians' lives change from sin habits to conquerors. We are sinners, but we do NOT have to sin... Jesus set us free from sin and He is able guide us out of every temptation. We have to listen and obey.

Hello @Noblemen

Paul's desire was that those under His care should have full confidence and assurance in the promises of God the Father, in Christ Jesus the Son. For that you need understanding: hence Paul's prayers in Ephesians chapters one and three.

He writes. to the Colossians expressing that desire:-

'... that their hearts might be comforted,
being knit together in love,
And unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding,
to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God,
and of the Father,
and of Christ,
In Whom are hid
all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.'

Praise God!

That understanding and acknowledgement need to be in place for full assurance and confidence to be realised.

In Christ Jesus
Our risen and glorified
Saviour, Lord and Head.

Chris
