Why do disasters befall on this world?

There are no exceptions that everything happens according to God's plan, including the disasters that are occurring every day over the world. It's all over the headlines: terrorist attacks, civil wars, political corruption, natural disasters, and much more. But what if these disasters had a specific reason as to why it occurred?

Every answers to any questions are written in the Word of God. Whether you may believe or not believe this, God is the creator, and he has set a purpose for his creations and has allowed all events to occur. All happened inevitably because He has already planned from the very beginning of time all that was to be fulfilled. Thus, even the reason why disasters befall on this world has an answer within the Scripture.

If you're curious, please check this sermon to find out the biblical answer to this:

According to scripture, this is not correct.

Scripture says that satan is the God of this world, and that God has given the dominion of this world over to men. By men and women's behavior and godlessness...satan has been allowed to rule instead of being cast down and bound on this earth as he is in heaven.

It's totally contrary to God's character to say that God is the one putting all this disaster and death upon the world, when God is defined as Love and the devil is described as the one who comes to steal, kill and destroy.

It's time for Believers to stand up, take their God given authority and put the enemy under their feet. We are the body of Christ, and God needs us to help Him release Thee Blessing upon the earth.

Blessings of grace and peace be yours in abundance.

HI Hanna Jin and welcome to cfs.
IF this were true then scriptures
Such as satan is the god of this world
and our fight is not with flesh and blood but spiritual with evil spirits would be nothing more but filler in a book.

To accept this kind of thinking then murders and rapes and so much more happens according to God's plan. Now we know that is far fetched.

This type of thinking is most dangerous and leaves the believer to chance and accepting what our enemy the devil does as according to what God desires.
That is totally opposed to His Written Word.

By taking one potion of the scripture and say that God is love, and that he would never allow such disasters to occur is "far fetched."
The Word of God must be seen as whole, from Genesis to Revelation, and that the interpretation must be expressed in spiritual truths with spiritual words (1 Corinthians 2:13).
That is, it must be interpreted with the Bible to the Bible so that you can know the will of God.
It is written explicitly that our thoughts are different than God's thoughts (Isaiah 55:8), so how can we ever fathom God's plan and what he allows in this world?
Yes, the scripture does mention Satan is the god of this world, but does he ever have the power over Father God who created Satan himself and this world?
Every single events and occurrences are first permitted by God.

Please, do not ignore the other half of the scripture in the Old Testament that wrote of the God who judge.
Though God is the God of love, he also punishes those who rebel against Him and do not keep His Word.
I earnestly ask you to watch the sermon above and hear why I've said this.

There is much truth in what you say, but be careful to check out the many topics that are not allowed for discussion here and the few that are.
Who sent the world into liquidation?
Who smoked the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah?
Who turned Egypt into a blood soaked, fly blown, frog infested locust infested necropolis?
The questions could go on and on....but I'm out of time.
Perhaps another day

I dont have time to get into this now but the sctiptures you quoted here are not being used 100 percent correctly.

Also please use the reply function when replying to something some one said. Other wise it gets confusing trying to know who or whay you are replying.

Hello Hanna......It is good to see someone new. It has been awhile since we have added a new person so I hope you will stay for awhile.

Calvin is very right. There is a lot of things we are not allowed to talk about. I hope this is not one of them as I have not looked at the list lately.

Most natural disasters are a result of creative laws at work. Hurricanes, typhoons, and tornados are the results of divergent weather patterns colliding. Earthquakes are the result of the earth’s plate structure shifting. A tsunami is caused by an underwater earthquake.

Without a doubt, the Bible proclaims that Jesus Christ holds all of nature together in Col. 1:16-7. Could God prevent natural disasters? Absolutely! Does God at influence the weather? Yes!

However, some of the disasters we see are the results of mans stupidity. We at times are quick to blame God or Satan but how about man himself.

A volcano erupts and kills 5,000 people. But who in the world would live at the foot of a smokeing volcano??????
The people who have done that say, it has not blown up in 1000 years. That may be true but it has blown up before and there they are, 50,000 people living at the base of a stick of dynamite with the fuse lit. That is just plain stupid.

I think about 500,000 people live in New Orleans. I have been there several times when I was stationed in Ft. Polk. It is about 6 feet Below sea level. When you said in the middle of Bourbon St. and look up, you are looking at the Mississippi River 6 feet over your head. Then we are shocked when a hurricane blows in and drowns hundreds and floods the city. Why are we surprised??? It is just plain stupid.

Look at the millions of people living along the California coast line. Earthquake faults run up and down the Pacific coast and there are hundreds of quakes everyday. One day a quake of about 10.0 is going to hit like it did in Alaska back in the 60's and hundreds of thousands will die. WHY??? Stupidity!

Consider the nation of Japan 5 years when a tsunami rolled causing a disaster. It was not the tsunami but the people who built the reactor on top of an earthquake fault line.
What did they think would happen. Stupidity.

The problem with believing like this you have to pick and choose scriptures both from the new and old testament and use them out of character to build a case.

You over look the covenants made between man and God. This also means you make God do things contrary to what He has said.

If you study the book of the revelation of Jesus you will learn when God takes over or another words can and will do what He wants in this earth.
Layman terms......when the lease of this earth with man runs out.

Now if any one would like to dig into His Word on this then let's do so and leave human reasoning out of the picture.

Fact is God has spoken things and done things in which He will honor until the set time when they expire. Even the devil and evil spirits know what God can and can not do in this earth, even when believers dont.

This is why God works through man.
Again if you want to dig into this then let's do so but let's bring His word in character and leave out human reasoning.

Obtw.......where it was written our thoughts are not His thoughts and ways etc.
This is saying to us we need to start seeing and doing things His way. This throws human reasoning out the window.

So any one interested in seeing what His word says about all this?

calvin Greetings,
Not that I have need to explain this to you but for the benefit of others who may read this thread I shall explain.

When new members begin to post in the open forum, many times they simply write replies responding to some one and begin to confuse what others have said into one reply and this brings confusion.

So we remind them to use the reply button over just making new post and for the most part their response is always....oh thank you and that makes good sense.

That is why I said this to the O.P. in which you clipped.

Now then I made a new post without the reply And Sir I used words such as any one because my post was to any one who wanted to fellowship together on this topic.

See, other wise I would have had to tag you and every one else that had replied and saw the future and tagged those who would make a first reply.

So you see calvin there was a good reason for this and I must also make sure to say thank you sir for bringing this to light.

If you have any other concerns sir, please feel free to let me know.
Have a great day !

Greetings Major,
How are things down there in the United States of Trump?
Would you agree that the majority of 'natural disasters are sent by the Lord and intended to get people's attention?
This is unarguably the case with the various judgments detailed in the book of Revelation, But what about the many other disasters that are not specifically listed?
Then there is the case of Sodom and Gomorrah, which usually does not mention the fire judgment against Admah and also Zeboiim.
The question is, was this a simple purge of irredeemable evil as was the flood,, or was it also a warning to other near by cities?

I look forward to your valuable insights.

calvin Hanna Jin Major

God made a choice when He created human beings. He decided to give us dominion on earth.

God had dominion, and then He chose to give it to man. Take Note here, God did not say, let him but said let them which means not only Adam But all his descendants which means man through out time.

Now when we bring PSALM 115:16 into this........
The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD's; But the earth He has given to the children of men.

Dominion is the right to make decisions and to rule, not necessarily meaning ownership but rulership.

This clearly means that what happens on earth is determined by mankind, not by God. Otherwise, God lied in saying that man has dominion.

God honors the choices made by people. Which means He allows us to have a free will and to make choices. We are not puppets or robots. Each one of us makes choices and then we must live with the result of our choices.

No where in the new testament does God say once, pray to me to cast out demons or fight the devils attacks. No God said You Do It.

He gave us power of His word and His authority which means He has authorised and empowered us to do these things.

So what would we need this dominion for? Because the god of this world is who brings disasters trying to destroy man and this world.

This is but a little piece of truth in all of this. If you don't know what Adam had, then you won't know what you have.

Well if you are happy with this picture of things, ..............................................

Exo 19:4 ‘You yourselves have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles' wings and brought you to myself.
Exo 19:5 Now therefore, if you will indeed obey my voice and keep my covenant, you shall be my treasured possession among all peoples, for all the earth is mine;
Exo 19:6 and you shall be to me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words that you shall speak to the people of Israel.”

So, who did what to the Egyptians?
I believe, FCJ, the passage, Psa 115:16 taken in context speaks not of possession, but of the appointed place of worship.
ie we do not offer praise from the grave nor from Hades, but if you want to offer up praise and adoration, do it now, for you are dwelling in your appointed place.. That is what Psa 115 is mostly all about I believe.

Exo 19:4 ‘You yourselves have seen what I did to the Egyptians,

This is an action taken from under the ot or old covenant and trying to be used to show actions in the NT or new covenant and by doing so you make the New Covenant void and null.

Exo 19:5 Now therefore, if you will indeed obey my voice and keep my covenant, you shall be my treasured possession among all peoples, for all the earth is mine;

Yes this earth and solar system and to infinity and back belongs to God but God gave authority over what happens in this world to man. He can not go back on that until such set time and you can see this in the Revelation of Jesus.

Christians are to have and enforce this dominion or authority in this world but they have been too busy fussing over who is right and what God said and what God expects from us. Mean while the devil has had free range to do what he wants and getting Christians to help him along the way.

God's word never changes and God does not just do anything He wants to at any given time. Covenants today are taken lightly at best and have lost their importance but that does not change how God values a covenant.

One must really dig back to understand God's word and not read it with the understanding of men over the generations.

Something else that has been over looked within this trying to prove God is sending disasters.

Let's look at the quote above of yours.
It is totally out of context if it is being used as an example of God destroying things or people.

This action is Really God Answering the cries of His people. They cried out for deliverance from the Egyptians for a very long time.

So this action of God is answered prayers and to say it is the same as the disasters today would have to have His people praying for these things.

So again, the actions or characteristics of God are being confused and poorly portrayed in this hour.

You are very quick to discount the understanding of others.
maybe that is why there are so few left here, maybe there are other reasons.
You want New testament examples?
hen I heard a loud voice from the temple telling the seven angels, “Go and pour out on the earth the seven bowls of the wrath of God.”
Rev 16:2 So the first angel went and poured out his bowl on the earth, and harmful and painful sores came upon the people who bore the mark of the beast and worshiped its image.
Rev 16:3 The second angel poured out his bowl into the sea, and it became like the blood of a corpse, and every living thing died that was in the sea.

and there are plenty more if you care to look.
I'm done with contesting for the truth here..I'm off to another forum where people are not cut down, but rather are respected.
