Does anyone know any good Christian Apps for Andriod?
I see some on the Google Play Store but not sure how good they are.
Is there something in particular that I should be looking for? Should I use a study app or a Ministry app etc?

Thank you all in advance. :)

There's a couple of Bible apps available but I'm not exactly sure what specific Christian apps you are looking for?

I have a Bible Study app which I've downloaded from Apple istore.

Thanks for the reply.
I was thinking a study app, or tool app to aid on one's journey. ;)

Hi HolyGround,

I have three that I use a lot, for different reasons. One is the Olive tree Bible study app. With the free Bibles it has, I enjoy the format of the way it reads, and the ease of switching back and forth between versions, and the ability to highlight and make my own colors and notes. They also have a huge bookstore, but I don't use a lot because some I don't agree with, but if I had the money I would get the study editions of several of their Bibles.

I also have the mysword for android. It has a huge selection of free Bibles. My favorite is the king James with the Strongs definitions. One can also highlight and make notes. And if one has the money you can donate once and be upgraded to even better applications within the app.

My other one I have is you version. It has a lot of different free versions of the Bible to choose from, the ability to make notes and highlight also. The way they store the notes is not my favorite, because they are not marked with the text your reading like in the Olive tree. But I use it mostly because it has a free amplified version that can be accessed if you are connected to the internet.

All three have lots of versions that can be downloaded and all read offline. Although the Olive tree has the least. But it is my favorite, because of some of the other features. If I had the money to get the amplified Bible in it I probably would delete the you version. Although the you version has a lot of Bible study or devotional plans from lots of different people ...so that is definitely a plus!

I'm sure there are other good ones out there. It's a matter of trying them to see which one fits your style and which has the features you like the best and need. Some of them even have the ability to connect with others through their apps, which is nice for fellowship also. :)

Hope this helps!
God bless

Thought I would put up an example of what each one looks like. This is the olive tree the hearts are where my notes are, and can be changed to several different things...ie. pulpit or light bulb or books. And the notes can be as long as you want. They also can be synced to the main website so that if you have to, say, change phones and redownload the app...you don't loose anything.

Blessings

I use You Version a lot. It is quite easy to switch between translations and it has different languages. In Indian fellowship, we read Bible in Indian languages. so it comes quite handy. I use some apps for specific ministries. It is useful to listen to sermons while driving back home and so on. It depends on which ministry you want to listen to. I think most of the ministries have apps

I am looking for some an app with interlinear Bible. I don't think there is one. Atleast it was not there when I checked last

Hi Ravindran,

In the mysword app there is an interlinear section in the Bibles to download (go to modules to download and click on Bibles) and also many different languages. Might check it out to see of its what your looking for. And can be read offline. And all free

Hey we just installed this one on 2 phones and one tablet. Man is this one nice.

After you down load it to your device you open up manage versions and it takes you to a down load page. I put about 7 or 8 translations I like including cjb and a strongs. Offers many languages as well.

The versions come in a zip file which you Do Not Open. The app uses them.

Man is this thing nice.....

Thank you for this Fish Catcher Jim; this is very useful. (y)

I use AndBible and it is wonderful, I can't praise it enough. It's free, easy to use and features a great number of translations.

My Sunday School kids love it, too. Thanks to AndBible, they were able to consult over 30 Bible passages in less than 15 minutes.
Is this an Android or Apple app?
It does sound useful.
