Ok Here is a good one on FEAR..... By REV. Caroline Anderson. ( She said it ok to post )

Caroline Alderson

If we can get all of the fear out of our lives, I believe we can truly be free. John 10:10 says, the thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but I have come to bring you life, and life more abundantly. Abundant life means excessive life. More than enough life. More than what you need, Life. Fear wants to steal from you. Fear wants to kill you. Fear wants to keep you numb and fruitless. Fear wants to belittle you, and keep you down. But, are we going to allow fear to do that to us? NO! Say NO to Fear, and say Yes to Love, Faith, and Peace from Jesus Christ, the Anointed One and His Anointing. Jesus came to give us, to bring us LIFE. What is LIFE? What is the abundant life? A life free from fear, sickness, disease, oppression, poverty, stress, and worry. That covers all areas of our existence, our spirit, our mind, our thoughts, emotionally and mentally, our bodies, and materially.
Maybe someone mistreated you, abused you, or someone died in your life you loved and needed. Jesus came to set you free from all grief, depression, and oppression. It is not God's will for you to carry that grief. It is not God's will for you to be depressed, and despondent. It is not God's will for you to be tired, in body, mind, or soul. God's greatest desire is that we be happy, fulfilled, whole, healed, free from fear, free from depression, free from everything that troubles our thoughts. If your thoughts are not free, the rest of your life will suffer. Fear can mess up your body. Fear can mess up your thoughts and bring you stress and worry, making your tummy hurt, and your heart ache. If anyone is having any of these problems, together we are going to learn how to become free of Fear, and how to get our thoughts in line with God's thoughts, so we can get free, from stress, depression, sickness, and poverty.

This is what the LORD Almighty says: "Administer true justice;
show mercy and compassion to one another. Do not oppress the widow
or the fatherless, the alien or the poor. In your hearts do not
think evil of each other."
-- Zechariah 7:9-10

Do you want a clear, simple, straightforward word from the Lord
today? That's what Zechariah gives us. He reminds us that God wants
us to be fair, compassionate, caring, without prejudice, and
tenderhearted to those in need, and to give each other the benefit
of the doubt. In other words, he wants us to treat each other like
Christ treated people. Why? Because we can't be right with God and
be wrong with people!

PRAYER:
Loving Father, please forgive me for the times I've gotten
bogged down with hard-to-understand verses in Scripture and ignored
your clear teaching on how to live. Please give me the opportunity
this week to live like you have commanded me. In the future, when
my heart grows cold or my response to others is not what it should
be, please use your Spirit to bring to my remembrance this passage
so that I might live it to your glory. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

Ok Charlie..... This is just a little story that happened yesterday. Three friends and myself went out for lunch with my missionary friend who is home fundraising. When Richard ( the missionary ) went to the washroom, I said to the owner of the restaurant ot put Richard"s charge on my bill and I mentioned that he was a missionary. OK she said and then came back when Richard was seated and said his meal was free. She then wanted to know all about his work with the street kids and we gave her information and told her about the Lord. When we were finished eating she came back and we asked if we could pray with her and she took our hands and we formed a circle right there in the busy restuarant and prayed for her and her family. What an awesome God we serve.:bible::):)

Great story, Dusty! It is amazing how the Lord puts us in the right places to do His work. Many times we don't even notice it.

Thankyou ,for getting me motivated, son.:D:D:D Blessings to you.

This is how we know we are in him: Whoever claims to live in him
must walk as Jesus did.
-- 1 John 2:5-6

Do you want to know who walks with Jesus each day? Look for
folks whose lives look like his! Do you want to walk with Jesus?
Look at his life in the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John).
See how he treated people; then do the same! Notice how he defeated
Satan and overcame temptation. Trust that you can do the same! As
you do these things, you will find that Jesus is not only walking
with you, he is also working through you!

Reverence to God alone

Ok Here is a good one on FEAR..... By REV. Caroline Anderson. ( She said it ok to post )

Hi Dusty,

I'm sorry, but as a Protestant who "protests" I must do the same.

"God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, And to be held in REVERENCE by all those around Him" (Ps. 89:7).

If you notice closely there is "parallelism" in this verse. The words "feared" and "reverence" are synonymous with one another.

The Bible speaks of Pastors and Ministers, but never Reverend when it comes to mere mortals. To me it's like calling the Pope our Father. There is only one Father and He is in Heaven, God of the universe.

In all the Bible "reverence" is given to God alone. It means to "fear." And we are to fear no man.

blessings to you,
John

John,

Reverence and Reverend are two different words in my dictionary. In all due respect the pastor who has gone through school and earned the" Reverend "title has the right to put it before their name. Out of respect for the person, I personally do not see anything wrong but if you do that is your preference. My Pastor of course likes to be called pastor and again that is respect even though she is a Rev. Same thing as people who have degrees behind their name, I respect and put them after their name. To me John that is a very minor thing and I guess a personal call. On the other hand , I would not call the pope father because we are told to not call any man father on this earth. I have a Heavenly Father that I can call Aba Father.

The fear that was talked about in that post was fear that people have and have it un necessarily and that we can turn it all over to God. We don't have to stay in our fears. Many people fear different things for example because I was in an abusive situation , I feared my abuser instead of looking more to the Lord but I also believe He saved me from worse abuse because I did pray . I don't understand how that verse relates to the post.

Bless you John. and thanks for your input.

I understand what you're saying. Although, I do not get my truth from the dictionary, with all do respect. I know many Dr.'s and they actually do not want anyone calling them the same. They are christian Dr's and they do not want to be esteemed or held in more authority than anyone else. As one of them said, we are all equal at the cross. I would say Reverend and Reverence are certainly too close for one not recognize it has connotations of the same.

To fear God is be be in awe of him, not to be scared of him, not to instill humanities secular definition in front of God's name.

God has labeled what men are to be who serve in the capacities of spiritual leaders; pastors, bishops, elders, ministers, disciples, apostles ... never reverend. God's thoughts are infinitely above my own, He knows best. That's all I'm saying. May we stick close to the truth. It builds faith, a sure foundation.

As for me personally, "For if anyone thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself."

I am nothing.

Thanks for the great discussion, and I appreciate your kind zeal for God.

bless you too Dusty, will talk to you soon.

John

Nehemiah 8:10: "Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength."

Why is joy important? Because the "joy of the Lord is your strength!" Joy produces strength. And strength is needed to fight. You are called to "fight the good fight of faith" (1 Timothy 6:12). Many people in the body of Christ are tired of fighting the good fight of faith. They are struggling to fight because they have lost their joy.

Hi Dusty - here is a thought for today - and it's not that far off.

My wife's cousin has a farm in Ontario. Shown is her husband getting around the farm a couple winters ago. Looks like fun! Can winter be fun? I am thinking about making a Christmas card out of this picture. I.ve never been able to make the image code work on this site - what is the secret?

Hey Larry 11.... Sorry my computer has been down since Sat. so couldn't answer. Wow that's a classic picture. That would be nice to make a Christmas card from that picture. I used to think snow was fun when I was a kid but now I don't think it is so much fun any more especially since it is me who has to shovel.:(:(

Wed, When I woke up this AM the song by Linda Randal was on my mind : " The God of the mountains is still God in the Valleys". wow what a profound and a blessing that our God is there every day walking with us and talking with us. Now I have to go and look up that CD as I want to listen to the words.

Ok I was reading for today in 1 John 4:7 " Let us love one another for love is of God ".

As we know love comes in many forms..... the love of life partners for each other, the love of parents for children, the love of friends who mean so much to us. And God has blessed theis love that we have for one another, by reminding us in the Bible that " LOVE IS OF GOD !" Let us give thanks for the love in our lives.!

Lord, how wonderful if would be if everyone in the World could read that verse in the Bible and invite love into their lives. I pray that I will always have dear ones to care for..... dear ones who care for me as I do them. Above all, let me always be thankful for YOUR LOVE which is the crnerstone of my life. With love in my heart and faith in your wisdom, I will be joyful forever !..... Amen.
