I don't feel Him

I don't know what I am doing wrong. I don't feel God talking to me and I don't hear him.

I am trying to strengthening my faith. I do believe. I have prayed for Him to guide me, to help me hear His voice, but I just don't.

It makes me feel discouraged that I am not doing something right. I believe in Him. I don't understand all of His words, but I am learning. I have doubts, but they are not doubts about Him, mainly myself.

I know it can be difficult and discouraging to think that we cannot hear God, but one must remember that faith is not a feeling.

The best thing to do is find all the Scriptures that tell us how much He loves us and allow them to renew your mind. Also get your words to agree with Jesus' Words in John 10... you are His sheep, you know His voice, and He knows Your name. This will help your mind be renewed to the fact that you can hear what the spirit is saying, we all just have to learn how to hear and how He speaks to us.

The Holy Spirit speaks to our spirit and our spirit speaks to our mind. So the voice sounds just like ours, because it is ours :). Now the task is to get your thoughts to line up with God's Word so that you can know who they come from. God or the enemy.

We will be praying for you
Peace and joy to surround you

Yet amid all these things we are more than conquerors and gain a surpassing victory through Him Who loved us. For I am persuaded beyond doubt (am sure) that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor things impending and threatening nor things to come, nor powers, Nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Even when Jesus was praying for us...
I in them and You in Me, in order that they may become one and perfectly united, that the world may know and [definitely] recognize that You sent Me and that You have loved them [even] as You have loved Me.
John 17:23 AMPC

For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome. Then you will call upon Me, and you will come and pray to Me, and I will hear and heed (listen) you. Then you will seek Me, inquire for, and require Me [as a vital necessity] and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. [Deut. 4:29-30.] I will be found by you, says the Lord, and I will release you from captivity....

Blessing my Sister in Christ,
Let's look at the quote in Bold above.
Best Answer......Exactly! !

That's the entire Point to what your going through. To get you "Feeling" and Not Trusting.

Scripture tells us we can not please God outside of Faith.
This means we Must Walk By Faith which means no matter what.....we must Developed A Total Trust in God and His Word.

It does not matter if a person believes this or not....We have an enemy the devil who never sleeps and has been doing what he does for a millennium and is so very good at what he does.

he has been tricking people one thought at a time and which can and do come with feelings .

This is why we are told to take every thought captive ..... so this means thoughts with feelings too.

God said He would not leave you or for sake you.....so does not feeling Him line up with this or is it apposed to His Word?
Cast it out and replace it with His word.

It's part of fighting the good fight of faith which we must do. All of us must do or we will stay defeated. There is no other way.

Here is a Key Factor For You....
Its Not what you understand or don't understan.......Its What You Do When You Don't Understand.

God's looking for Faith
Our enemy is working to Steel - Kill and Destroy your Faith........

So what do you do? How will you Respond?
When things seem off or confusing or as if God is no where to be found?
When Feelings seem to be overtaking you?

Scripture says...
Submit unto God
Resist the devil and then he will flee.

Going by feelings is Not submitting unto God
It is not resisting the devil

It is however submitting unto the pressures and trickery of our enemy the devil.

Note.......this is Not a one time thing
Our enemy the devil will be back.

Key......Do Not Allow Him To Ware You Down and that is EXACTLY what he is trying to do.
If he can then he can begin to leed you away from God and get you out in a place you don't want to be full of doubt and unbelief and eventually not wanting anything to do with God.

It all starts with Thoughts and Feelings.

I hope this sheds some light into your heart and remember......Greater is He who is in you then he that is in this world.

Leave you with this......
God is Not going to do Your part in this.
He has done His part but your gonna have to fight the good fight of Faith to access His part...

REMEMBER you have an enemy who Will Fight against you and try to keep you away from the things of God. This includes answers to prayer and healing and so on. You are Scheduled to win each battle but you still have to fight it.

Blessings

Part Two.....
For those who have a Yea But ... to what I wrote.

Add things up.
God has told us and given us all we will ever need to walk in victory.

Let's look at the full armor of God.
Why did He use this as an example?
Because we are going to have to fight.

Our fight is Spiritual and not flesh.
We have an enemy who Is Fighting us all the way through our time in this world.
That's just the way it is.

God has told us through His written word how to be Fully Equipped to Win our Victories.

When God told them He has given them the land.....they still had to go posses the land. This means you are gonna have to fight.

It's the same for us today. You know God Answered your prayer but when you go to take hold of it, you find resistance.
Why of course it's an ugly soldier of our enemy the devil saying ... no you can't have this. Doubt and unbelief and unworthiness begin to try and take hold.

Most people fold right then and there and say some ignorant saying such as it must not be God's will for me and they surrender their victory to the devil.

Example from above.
Child of God has not been spending their time building them selves up in their most Holy Faith.

They are not built up in His most Holy Word and have not learned how to take All thoughts captive.
They have not become Holy Spirit led as they claim they are.

Fact....
The enemy launches an attack.
Believer is caught off guard and is occupied in things they really had no business being in.

The scramble yelling why? Why is this happening to me. Tell me God why did you let this happen?

They have no idea where their shield of faith is at. Have no clue how to use the sword of the Spirit and so on.

They try and stand with a pizza pan size shield and quickly find it ain't working.

So they run to either try and go get some faith or get others to do their fighting for them.
Neither of which will work for them in this battle they now find them selves in.

They think getting others to pray for them will get the victory and they don't have to do anything......they soon turn on God and blame Him and question His written word.

Fact ...
We are to be built up and prepared for battle as any soldier is. This takes Daily Discipline.

You can not walk in victory if you can not even identify what thoughts and feelings are from the devil.
They don't come painted red and smelling like sulfur.

They are individually tailored to each individual. They are cleverly camouflaged with sweet sounding words and things that make sense in the natural realm.
They can even have bits of scripture to entice you into biting hold of.

They keep coming trying to get you to start thinking on them, after all they make perfect sense, but oh if you begin to speak these thoughts you have given them life and are half way defeated already in that battle.

Far to many Christians have been spiritually led in situations BUT it was not by the Holy Spirit.

Bottom line.....a casual christian is not a Victorious Christian.

You want the victory? Then your gonna have to fight for it and standing is a part of fighting.

Note......far to many Christians only think they are fighting the good fight of Faith and are in all truth getting worn out shadow boxing hitting nothing and entertaining the enemy.

Know your enemies trickery and Know the Victory.

Below is a easy duty roster to begin to work out and be Equipped for battle.
Note.......this is something you must do 24/7/365.....you never stop or believe you have arived in the things of God

Romans 12:2. 2 Corinthians 10:4-5.
Galatians 5:16. 2 Corinthians 9:8

Romans 12:2 ....
And be not conformed to this world; but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind that ye may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God

(Get His word in you each and every day and speak His word each and every day)

2 Corinthians 10:4-5
4... For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to pulling down strong holds

5... Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.

(Begin to practice the words you speak and thoughts you think for our thoughts and words to control how we act or react and believe. Our own words do more to influence our thinking then most of everything else)

Galatians 5:16
This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh

(The more you do the first two the more you will begin to walk in the Spirit and you will be amazed to say the least)

All done through the Grace of God who maketh all grace abound to me. (2Corinthians 9:8)

Blessings and love in Christ

I have doubts, but they are not doubts about Him, mainly myself.

Trust me... God is pleased with all that you are doing to learn and get to know Him. His eyes are constantly on you, and He is pleased.

As i was writing this God reminded me about when i was first learning to get to know Him again, and putting His Word into practice. I was reading a book called captured by Grace by Dr. David Jeremiah. The following was a few paragraphs that jumped off the page and made me feel as if GOD was speaking directly to me at that moment (I firmly believe He was). I pray it blesses and encourages you as it did for me :)

The first paragraph is written about/by John Newton after loosing his adoptive daughter Eliza.
Her grieving adoptive father prepared a little memorial book for the girl that he had awaited for so long. In it he wrote: "if we know and trust Him....He chooses better for us than we can for ourselves..... but now i can praise and adore Him for.....His plan. I not only can bow......to His sovereignty, but I admire His wisdom and goodness, and can say from my heart, He has done all things well.

The rest of this is from the author.....
Can you say that about your walk with God? Can you praise and adore Him even when your heart is breaking and you feel overwhelmed by disappointment? It could be that your struggling with some trial at this very moment. If you can place your trust totally in His Love and His promise to work all things for your good, then you will have taken a step toward embracing the mysteries of His grace. You will bear a slightly closer resemblance to the Savior who gave His life to save you.

Then God will look upon your life, smile, and say, "Yes, My child. How you've grown since you first came to know Me! You're becoming wiser and stronger every day. There was a time when you could rejoice only when the sun was shining. But now your soul is taking on real substance. Now you are becoming sturdy and strong. I have trusted you with this burden, and you have honored Me through the stubbornness of your faith".

"Though your eyes are presently filled with tears, My child, and though your shoulders sag with unhappiness, I want you to know something. I want you to be assured that our adventure together is only beginning. Trials remain for you to face, but behind each obstacle there lies a greater joy. And all along the way, I have paved your road with blessings to remind you of the inheritance that is yours as My child. Walk on, now, in the joy that will not be slowed even by sadness. Walk on toward the crown of glory that has your name on it."
"Walk on, My child. And let us walk together."

As i read this...tears were flowing, and i knew that this was God speaking to me, (this was about 4 years ago... 6 now i think). I hung onto the blessings part that were along the way....and it helped to get me through the next storm or trial. I pray it gives you the same hope!

Here is another verse God gave me a couple of years ago...1 Peter 5:12b.....My purpose in writing is to encourage you and assure you that what you are experiencing is truly part of God’s grace for you. Stand firm in this grace.

God loves you and is more than capable to help you to know His voice. So don't put any time into doubting yourself. Philippians 2:13 says that it is He who dwells in you (via the Holy Spirit) giving you the power and desire to do what pleases Him. What we all have to do is learn to trust ourselves to know His leading.

God trusts us with His precious Word, and knows that when we are seeking Him, He can get through to us because He knows that we have a willing and teachable heart. For God always looks at the heart of the person, and is more concerned with the process of learning faith and trusting in Him, and not on the outcome. He knows that anyone truly seeking Him will come running into His loving arms to repent if we miss it. And that pleases Him more than perfectly walking out our salvation.

God bless you my sister. Keep your head up and keep trusting God to help you understand everything.... for Jesus told His disciples "unto you it has been given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven" we also are His disciples and that applies to us as well. For we have the Spirit of truth living inside of us (john 16:13-15). And if we don't know or understand... all we have to do is ask and James 1:6 says He will give us the wisdom with out any problems... all we have to do is expect in faith that He is able :)

Blessings and huggs to you

Greetings:
I'm leaning towards: that the the Whisperer isn't into words.I believe it's the crackling of John's-Fire,that we turn into words or feelings.Read John's epistles and pick out your Gaius or Lady-Elect,and make their lives
filled with your attentions.

Feelings come and go but God's Word and God Himself are everlasting. He has promised that He will never leave us and so we believe and trust in His Word no matter how we are feeling. This will happen many times especially when you have had the experience of feeling His Presence and then it seems gone. The enemy wants to tell us many tales to try to get us to lose faith and welcome doubts into our lives and thinking.

No matter how you feel..continue to pray and be reading and pondering the scriptures on a regular basis. And stay in supportive Christian fellowship which helps us through these dry periods.

Because you don't feel or think you don't hear from the Lord does not necessarily mean you have done anything wrong. But it is good to examine your conscience and see if there is anything that should be changed in your present walk. Be gentle about that as the Holy Spirit will empower you to have strength and faith to change anything that needs changing. It is all healthy and part of spiritual growth and maturing although it may not feel that way.

You are not alone. We are all there at one time or other and it doesn't get easier but sometimes even more challenging. Good to remember when you did hear from the Lord and trust that you will hear again.

Blessings,

Amen!
It gets easier as we go, that is for sure :)

As the challenges become greater..right! :)
Yes, the devil will come to see how one is resisting him and his ways, and try to come in a different way to trip us up. But if one is consistently walking in faith at all times, they will never break their stride. For they are wise to his tricks and schemes, and won't fall for any of them. It starts with keeping ones thoughts on God or godly principles all the time and having that close relationship with the Father. :)

Are you doing your part? We find God / reach God / touch God on His terms. Many touched Jesus in the crowd, but only one ''touched'' Him. That person felt God's anointing without a doubt as she was instantly healed. Jesus said this ''I know that power has gone out from me'' Luke 8:45-48.
