My poem to my savoir Jesus Christ

I was there in the crowd when you went to Jerusalem,my heart beating as i thought you looked my way; I was there when they arrested and beaten you, again i thought i saw you look my way, I yelled your name among the thousand of voices who didn't want you to go free but i knew you were innocent so i cried out for your release.

Again i thought i saw you look my way; I fallowed them were they had taken you to that hill to die, i cried and wept because of how cruelly and unjustly you were treated. My eyes must have been still wattery because i thought i saw you look my, when you declared it was finished i thought i saw you look my way; I never saw you again after that, for days i cried and for days i couldn't sleep because all i saw was your face.

The night i did manage to finally sleep strangely i thought i heard you say."its alright." The next morning i saw you standing before me with arms out stretched wide and i saw you looking at me.

authors note: This poem is very personal to me because during plays when i am in the crowd i cry every time i see the actor that plays Jesus go through that and i cry during service when they pass out the communion on Easter cause all i think is what Christ went through on behalf to ensure i go to be with him.

it is also my strong belief that christ see's everything we do soo if he see's this poem i want him to know how i feel :,)

Robertwarhero1, this is a very openly heartfelt poem. It made be stop and think for a while. I remember that when I was a child, when I knew the life of Christ, I too cried at the idea of what must have been going through Jesus' mind at the time. There was obviously a point, where He felt a certain level of fear " Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done. An angel from heaven appeared to him and strengthened him. 44 And being in anguish, he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground" (Luke 42 - 44, NIV). Had this not come to fruition (had it not been fulfilled) imagine how different our circumstances would be. Having spent the majority of my adult like in the military, I understand what it is like to be asked to do something you do not really want to do, but do for the sake of others. In Jesus' case, the "others" is all of us then, now, and tomorrow. Jesus' sacrifice was the fulfillment of what had to be. It was, in my opinion, his finest hour.
