Satan Hates Children

Why does hate target children so much? Why does Satan hate children so much? In domestic situations 47% of children in domestic abuse (in America; 2018; americanspcc.org) are killed. Globally, the numbers are a staggering 1 BILLION cases per year ages 2-17 (who.int). 65,000 children are sexually abused (America; 2018; americanspcc.org). Globally, 125,000 babies are aborted EVERY DAY. Jesus said to allow the children to come to Him (Matthew 19:14) and even refers to us as His children (1 John 3:1 & 2; Romans 8:17; et al.). Satan hates children for what they represent. Nothing represents innocence better than a child. Love is shown when a person is vulnerable and nothing is more vulnerable than a child dependent on the care of someone. God entrusts us to be good stewards of the earth He gave us and when we consider the needs of the earth more important than the needs of life then we have serious problems. We have fallen for Satan's lie and abortion in society has become acceptable and necessary but if a hunter says they shot a deer - WATCH out! Satan did that. We are sensitive to the wrong things. What do you think?

1 Peter 5:8-9 ......
"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 9Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world."

Matthew 2:16......
"Then Herod...was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under...".

Wicked king Herod was controlled by the Devil, just as was Hitler. Satan hated Christ and wanted him dead, even at the expense of thousands of lives. The Devil always looks for willing servants to do his evil. Satan used Herod to murder thousands of children. Satan couldn't have cared less about those children. In fact, Satan hates children. Today, Satan is still out to destroy children in every way possible. Satan causes abortion. Satan causes war. Satan causes drunk drivers. If Satan can't kill the children, then he tries to blind them with demonic religion. Satan causes false religion.

Attacking children also attacks families. I think Satan sees it as a win win. Seeing a child hurt, disfigured or in shock leads many to ask why. Satan must know this after thousands of years of practice.

How can God? Why would he allow that? on and on.

So harming children he brings further division in families and others.

We had a "why God?" moment when one of our twin girls was diagnosed with cancer at 3 1/2 years old. The answer, I believe, was why not? In that dark time of life we found that the darkness was because we were being held so close by God that it seemed dark. We heard His heartbeat all the way through it and because of our focus on Him we learned a lot. Thank God that He chose to let us keep her as well. They are 12 now and healthy as can be.

I can only imagine the difficulty of a trial like that. God though must have known that you were up to the trial, because he would not have allowed it otherwise. Any trial is difficult while we are going through them, but watching someone else a child, your wife or any other loved one is extra hard. You want to do something, but there is little physically that can be done.

As a Christian and some not even Christian they call out to God. Sometimes after these prays we wonder if God even heard us because it seems like God doesn't answer. Usually though its because God says wait or I got a plan trust me it will all work together for good in the end. These answers are hard to hear when you are hurting and in pain.

Very kind of you to say. Indeed, also, we should be cautious when offering "encouraging words". Citing Scripture in a generic way when someone is suffering is one of the worst and most damaging things we can do. Sometimes we should just suffer with the suffering (Romans 12:15) and shut up.
Proverbs 25:20 (NASB) takes it one step further by saying, "Like one who takes off a garment on a cold day, or like vinegar on soda, Is one who sings songs to a troubled heart". I will say it again, sometimes you just need to shut up and let the person work through the pain.

When someone is in a trial, there are many things unwise to bring up. For the most part they probably aren't ready. At most I might suggest reading God's word on their own, but usually I find actively listening the best. Poking at someone in their weakest moments is totally unkind and only adds to the suffering.

I do believe that when you have gone through your own difficult trials you are better prepared to help others in their difficult moments. Though there may be common traits that people go through everyone still has there unique way of coping with their trial. Coming to know where they are at, is essential, IMHO. Like you say many times all they need is to know they haven't been deserted.

mm I think Satan hates everyone not just children, anyone or anything he can't control.

There just aren't enough good parents for every child. And a lot of people don't want to look after other peoples children or even their own.

I've heard christian parents wanting to homeschool their children. Which is all well and good, but if asked to take in other children not their own they wouldn't consider it. Or teaching in a public school where they can be an influence for good for children who's parents could never afford private school.

A lot of children don't have parents - either far too busy, or they've died, or they are ill, or in another country, or have gone off to war.

I am aware of that, Lanolin, but I obviously can't talk about everything. There is nothing wrong with homeschooling and it is not the responsibility of anyone else to raise someone's child if they were immature and wreck-less with their physical experiment. It is no ones responsibility to raise that child but them. Life is not fair and that is just the way it is.

Yes he is a murderer from the beginning. He hates all flesh

Agreed!

Which brings the USA's law of abortion more into focus!

Since 1973's Roe vs Wade made abortion legal, the USA has killed approx. 70 MILLION babies.

To put that into realville terms......since 1991 when the 1st 1.5 million would have begun to work and pay taxes, there is now approx. 43 million people who would have been paying taxes are instead DEAD.

Now, when the Social Security Plan was enacted by Mr. Roosevelt in the 30's......there was NO THOUGHT given that at some time in the future, this country would be voluntarily killing 1.5 million citizens a year and that is the reason why Social Security is going broke.

Remember back in the day, Satan gave Eve the idea that she would be wise and tricked her into eating the forbidden fruit.. It's not that he hated her for being a child, it's because she was a woman, God's final creation. She did have children. He targeted her over Adam. So its a bit more complicated.

God helped her with her children even though Cain killed Abel. Eve didn't abort her children though. Cain was given a mark to protect him. She had another, Seth, after Abel.
Adam and Eve weren't the best parents it seems. But they got by. I dont' suppose any of us would be here if they hadn't started it all lol.

Jesus loved children even though he didn't physically have any, and didn't turn them away, even if he didn't know their parents. And of course, other ppl would question His parentage. They probably didn't approve of Mary falling pregnant before marriage either. Thankfully, Joseph did look after Jesus EVEN though he wasn't technically His Father!

Of course, the angels had to persuade him a bit.
