Thoughts about Suffering?

In my line of work it goes with a lot of freedom.

People may disagree with me and the antics that are shared or they may seem off or whatever. At the end of the day look towards Jesus, always.

He has changed me around from a line of hatred that use to be for all people; everyone.

That is the power of God Cperkins in talking about.

If people don’t understand or get it; it’s fine.

I wouldn’t lie or get up there and try to act perfect people would need to know where it is that my life came up and out and from.

So they understand don’t look towards me look towards Jesus, no desire for anyone to follow me, follow Jesus Christ, and whatever is said about the Bible go check the information out your self and if it is wrong well then don’t listen to me about the things that could possibly be Misinterpreted by myself.

Look towards Jesus. That is all.

Do believe it is all about faith and love.
 
Suffering forces me to seek God. Ask questions, and to look for the right scriptures in order to act.

Suffering for Christ takes courage, strength and steadfast Faith and Love.
Fear tends to make me timid, and shrink back to my old ways, especially when I haven't done something before, or is expected of me.
My work cult-ure is toxic and I must stand against those who think I should sin and suffer for it. But Praise God, prayer is my go to and Christ is my Lord.

Personally, how you and others post or don't post, is up to you. Work it out. But from where I'm standing I care about what I'm reading and am looking for some direction, substance of comments, answers from questions and outcome of this topic.

The suffering isn't about a machine, its about people. The Bible makes clear that God is working all things for our good and we will suffer much in this life. We must remove the misguided blessings seen only as prosperity and suffering only as a curse.

Your submitting this thread is important; dialogue, input, questions of suffering are healthy in Christian fellowship, and that includes when one doesn't understand the other, thus we ask questions and follow with fervent prayer.

BUT......YOU are teaching Matthew! You are postings comments and opinions based on your perception.

Matthew.....your life is pretty much like everyone elses. WE are all SINNERS my friend and you are no different!
We all have problems and we all suffer from one degree to another either physically or mentally.

Every single person on this site is a Christian and we ALL look to Jesus as the author of our faith and most of us actually DO check out the Scriptures BEFORE posting anything here......at least I do.

2 Timothy1:13-14 confirmes this as we read.........
"What you heard from me, keep as the pattern of sound teaching, with faith and love in Christ Jesus. Guard the good deposit that was entrusted to you—guard it with the help of the Holy Spirit who lives in us."

Suffering is a tool God uses to get our attention and to accomplish His purposes in our lives. It is designed to build our trust in the Almighty, but suffering requires the right response if it is to be successful in accomplishing God’s purposes. Suffering forces us to turn from trust in our own resources to living by faith in God’s resources.

Suffering is not in itself virtuous, nor is it a sign of holiness. It is also not a means of gaining points with God, or of subduing the flesh (as in asceticism). When it is possible, suffering is to be avoided. Christ avoided suffering unless it meant acting in disobedience to the Father’s will.

Eccl. 7:14 says...........
“In the day of prosperity be happy, But in the day of adversity consider—God has made the one as well as the other so that man may not discover anything that will be after him”.

Yes, to all you mentioned regarding suffering.

In my own testimony, suffering for Christ has definitely grown me. I'm able to be there for others who understand or don't understand their own personal sufferings, especially when it happens at a moment's notice.

My suffering fuels perseverance that matures me, even in this time of my life. It's always been easy to give up but instead, I choose to endure it for Christ.

Every single chapter of suffering that I experienced, it's amazing how God has gotten me past so much. The remaining is ongoing but that too, will pass. I believe this has defined the quality of my faith.

I have also learned how suffering can be minimized when God grows me with LOVE, compassion, listening, understanding, patience, acceptance, helping others and knowledge of the Word.

Still, suffering will cross my path in my life ahead of me, but with God's guidance I am more equipped with the assurance that He is there to guide me through it all.

Suffering is tough, but there are benefits in it for the disciple of Christ.

I would add to suffering: there is no QUANTIFYING another's suffering. Whether it's unspeakable tragedy, abuse, betrayals, physical health, mental health...it's...suffering.
Many times the VICTORY is making it through another minute, another hour, another day, asking Him for strength. One of my favorite scriptures is Philippians 4:13: I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.

You are all right,

Yes there are earthly sufferings of course everyone experiences and there all in different types and forms yet, believe when this post was started it was about the sufferings for the sake of Christ Jesus.​

Jesus Christ our Lord helps us in the process of letting go to our earthly sufferings - via the heart and also renewing our mind.​

So afterwards you are lead into peace with God through Faith and justified, now what you do with this information is totally up to you.​
​
Suffering on the part of Christ Jesus is when you make the choice between reacting in the flesh or Choosing to react by the spirit that is inside of you.​

Jesus Christ explained that you have heard eye for eye and tooth for tooth.​
​
So this is the decision, between the worldly way of living, when someone does you wrong do you fight them, and try to get back at them?​

Or do you decide to go by the heavenly ways of forgiveness and mercy, instead of fighting.​

Jesus Christ said love your enemies do good to those who persecute you and try to manipulate you and despitefully use you.​

This is the suffering it seems the discussion has slightly gotten away from, while on this drive thought about it a lot and thought it would be good to remind you.​

thank you major. as usual, you have a good response, scripturally.

sometimes, when I feel that I shouldn't have to suffer, ( if its not my foolish actions that have brought it about) I tend to moan to myself or to others first. which I suppose is natural. but, moaning keeps me stuck. and the same thing keeps on happening over and over until I do something about it. its almost as if God is saying," I will keep sending you this until you do something about it" but the worse part is....its sometimes not WHAT I do, , but the HOW I do it which causes anxiety.

Just today, I had to say no to my boss. I understand how busy a boss can be, and needs organisation, but I too am trying to be organised and busy, so a compromise was in order. and I am not used to doing that with a boss. So I was anxious about the whole thing, and how she would react. I was worried how it would effect our relationship and the company, but it turned out she was also as empathetic as I. I learned to step in Faith and confront my fear. but I had to do my research first, and not jump in with anger.....which turned out a win/win.😊

The suffering of hell according to the wage of sin are accredited to the letter of the law "death". It kills in the end. (thou shall surely die) the first death appointed to all . The second death the letter of the law with its suffering called hell .The death of death .It will not rise up and condemn another entire creation through corruption.

Christians yoked with Christ enter his rest as the Holy Spirit works to both will and empower mankind to perform the good pleasure of His will and are given a future hope of a new incoruptible body which all die not receiving.

Whether you want to admit it or not, it seems to me that, subconsciously, you just told us the reason for your thread on "Suffering"!!!!!

May I tell you what the Bible tells us to do in Matthew 18:15-17 where Jesus tells us ............
“If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault, between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother. But if he does not listen, take one or two others along with you, that every charge may be established by the evidence of two or three witnesses. If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church. And if he refuses to listen even to the church, let him be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector."

Have YOU done that my friend?

You talk to me in what seems to be an antagonizing way, yet then you say God bless me.

You annoy me by the way you talk to me. But maybe it is you innocently trying to just idk, what it is.

Why do you have to make it out to be like that towards me?

How has suffering for Christ Yeshua impacted your life?

1 Peter 5:10 And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.

2 Corinthians 1: Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.

Romans 5:3 Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.

Psalm 34:19 The (believer in the faith of the Lord Yeshua) righteous person may have many troubles,
but the Lord delivers him from them all.

1 Peter 4:1 Therefore, since Christ suffered in his body, arm yourselves also with the same attitude, because whoever suffers in the body is done with sin.

1 Peter 3:14 But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. “Do not fear their threats; do not be frightened.”

Philippians 1: 29 For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him
