That’s my Monday morning rant done with now to start the week
Hey God you ‘aving a laugh?
Ok I know I said I just wanted to melt into the background,
Take some time out,
Not stick my head above the parapet
Only to get knocked down again
But it cold out here on the fringes
Feeling neglected alone,
Only Job’s comforters
Hovering like vultures
Waiting to pick over the bones
A dried up river bed
Where once living waters once flowed,
Nothing grows, not even a fig tree for shelter,
Sand getting up my nose,
Didn’t want to loose all the blessings
I only wanted some time out!
So, I got what I asked for,
Still think you’re having a laugh!
“The doors not locked its that way , the choice is yours”
Don’t want to be forty years in this desert
Before my lesson is learned
Didn’t realised how good life was fenced safely in your fold
Are you looking out, waiting
For the prodigal to return?
It’s all or nothing with Jesus
Can’t keep anything back
In reserve,
Get the fatted calf ready
I’m coming home!
