What's the prophecy of the lost tribes all about?

This is the little I know.

Very soon after the reign of King Solomon, the Jewish kingdom was divided into the North (Israel) and the South (Judah). So “Jews” were then those who were from the southern kingdom of Judah. Those who lived in northern kingdom of Israel were “non-Jewish” Israelites.

A few hundred years after the reigns of Saul/David/Solomon and the division of the Jewish kingdom, northern “Israel” fell to the Assyrians.

A generation or two later, the southern kingdom of “Judah” fell to Babylon and that’s when Daniel and the southern tribes of Judah were carried off to Babylon to begin the Babylonia exile.

Only the Jews from the southern houses of Judah would eventually return from their exile. Those from the northern tribes of Israel who were carried away never returned, and were never heard from again historically.

These northern “Israelites” are the “Lost Tribes of Israel.”

Quoting from Michael Barber:
“According to Isaiah, Jeremiah, and the rest of the prophets, God promised to bring them back. He promised a restoration of “all Israel.” This restoration would not include every single Israelite—some would reject Him—but rather a restoration of all the tribes, the northern and the southern kingdoms. The famous prophecy that tells of the “new covenant” explicitly states this: “Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah” (Jer 31:31). This idea of a reunited Israel is found throughout the Old Testament”.

There are many theories, some pretty wild, on what exactly happened to the lost tribes and I don’t think there is a consensus on where they ended up. However, Scriptures tell us that the tribes will be significant in yet to be fulfilled prophecies found in Revelation concerning the end times.

Here I am getting out of my depth and others may wish to jump in and correct or amend what I have written.

Blessings

I'm not sure all of Alabama is the promised land. After all, Auburn is located there (AUBURN=Alabama Usually Beats Us RedNecks)🤣

Why are you people hijacking my thread..?

Just kidding.😝

anyway, Alabama is too far away from Israel. Im way nearer. so there.
MY apologies!!!

But in my defence.....And IF you had been to Alabama YOU would then realize why I say it is the Promised land and in that sense I AM FROM ONE OF THE LOST TRIBES!.............The REDNECK Tribe!
