knows not the time to polish our halos . its time to fall on our face walk humbly with our God.. i think of the son by Charles Johnson and the revivers ..i cant even walk with out you holding my hand i even thought of the story of the woman with the alabaster box who used the content on Jesus... the disciples was mumming saying it could been sold and money used to help the poor.. ya know the Religious spirit .. long story short Jesus said let her alone she has done what she could...... WHAT R WE DOING ? .. watch this video

I really couldn`t watch much of that man huffing and puffing due to his obesity & not respecting presenting the word of God but just telling terrible stories. I fast forward it and then he was shouting. Way too obscene.

then looks like you missed out on the message ..is that really all you saw was his obesity ? so how do you present the word of God way to obscene ? i am sorry but yes your best off not to watch it. it had a powerful message in it
 
Good morning forgiven61 ... I just listened to the video.... and you are right.... THERE is a powerful message here.

That man is as likely of being harshly judged as the woman with all the piercings and worldly appearance.
WE love to LUMP things into categories that will suit and appease our judgements.

Several months ago.... I was at the mall that is close to where I live... and I came across this gentlemen who was kneeling in front of
the Shoppers Drug Mart.... He had fallen asleep in a trance-like state like many do with the fentanyl.... He had a whole bunch of 10 dollar bills... right in front of him... Obviously... he was attempting to put his money away.... and the effects of the drugs were keeping him from accomplishing the task.

When I saw him... I admit... I had to do a double take to make sure I was really seeing what I was seeing.... and once I saw it... I could NOT walk away.... so.... I sat beside him.... introduced myself and helped him gather all his money. I safely put it in a wallet... and by then... he had moved over to the curb to sit beside me... I asked him if he would tell me part of his story.... He talked and talked and talked... and then... I asked him if I could pray for him. I had NO words... I had NO IDEA what to say....so.... I simply told FATHER that his is NOT right... this is just NOT RIGHT... and I petitioned the heavens to protect this man. I asked Father to reveal Himself to this man.

I have not seen him since... and I have looked for him. SOMETIMES.... all someone needs is a touch.... I remember asking him if I could hold his hand... and he gently grabbed onto my hand. There are NO words for things like this... WE see things that just appear to be so BAD and UGLY.... and it becomes so easy to look away without remembering that it COULD and perhaps even SHOULD be us. I used to live on the streets.... I used to live a very very bad life... and sadly.... I do not have one memory of a CHRISTIAN that reached out to me. No one EVER reached out to me.

There are several lessons to be learned here.... and I am not going to begin to point any of my own fingers because I don't always respond to situations like Jesus would. I don't even usually stop.... but sometimes... and perhaps with the guidance of the Holy Spirit.... I feel compelled to stop... simply to hold someone's hand and let them know that they are seen.

Life is hard... oh my goodness... life is hard.

Ok, I listened to all the video. Good to hear about the young lady wanting to know about God and hopefully Jesus. The `preacher` however still gave the story about himself & whipped up the emotions of the people. Shouting is not needed. And the presentation was to make a good story for the people.

BTW I sincerely hope he can lose some weight before he has a heart attack.

Hi forgiven,

Now you asked a very good question - `So how do you present the word of God?` The word of God is the focus, not a story teller whipping up emotions. The focus is Jesus and His work on the cross, His work in our lives, His purposes for the Body of Christ, for Israel and for the Nations. The preacher is NOT to focus on himself or his activities.

The Apostle Paul said -

`For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. I was with you in weakness, in fear and in much trembling. And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.` (1 Cor. 2: 2 - 5)

Notice everyone was laughing as the `preacher` (story teller) described the young lady. Not appropriate.
 
What the speaker should have done was to send a lady to mentor the young lady. And then when he was speaking to the congregation, he should have talked of how Jesus did not show partiality to anyone. His own personal lesson was just that - personal. The focus should be Jesus and how He walked humbly not us.
 
And how do you think that young lady would feel if she had been in the meeting with everyone laughing about her. Those who did laugh should bow the knee and repent.

Hello forgiven;

Praise God for sharing Micah 6:8. I've never heard of Jack Cunningham but I haven't seen everybody and everything. This is what makes evangelism so important.

I experienced another evangelist who told his story. I attended a conference about 15 years in Pasadena and a speaker came up by the name of Nick Vujici. He hailed from Australia and has tetra-amelia syndrome, a condition of no limbs - legs and arms.

Many in the audience had never heard of Nick and from the oohs and ahhs at first I was shocked to hear as if he was a spectacle. But once Nick began to tell his story how he was so devastated by the torments of his physical being. He came to Christ and it's his faith that got him through the dark times in his life.

At the end of speaking, Nick stood at the front center of the stage and the audience created a long line just so they could speak with him. People embraced him and wept as he gave a short word of encouragement.

God blessed Nick with his wife of 12 years and have 4 children. God also blessed Nick with amazing gifts that he uses in his faith, evangelism and as an uplifting speaker to encourage hope to others.

Back to Jack Cunningham. After hearing him for first time was that of a redemptive testimony. I would love to hear more of these stories here at CFS as well as our members. If I'm correct Pastor Jack Cunningham passed away on October 7, 2024. May he rest in peace.

i had never heard of him either my sister sent me the video .. i did a you tube search and ran across him preaching .the message he preached was titled the purpose and the passion of the apostolic Church .. i will say i am not real hop on many of the apostolic preachers... he preached the truth.. Nick i have heard on t.v and watched on you tube. i will be sharing his hair cut story in the morning . my main text will be Micah 6L8 .. i have to out line the message to help me stay on track . i have to wonder how we would react if transgender cut our hair or even Came to church... i have been around gays/ male/ female both. i have been around the lesbian and gay men.. i does strike me odd but i treat them like anyone else . the real test if they come to Church

ya know i hate to say this BUT you missed the message by a hundred miles . you judged this man by carnal mind did you NOT HEAR him say i owe you a apology ? did you hear him say i am going to my office and get a bible study and we are going to sit on the bench and have a study? no i really dont think you did for you see brother jack got humbled getting that hair cut.. i am very offended by your remarks

the man is a preacher i am a preacher how do we present to word? the best we know how until you have walked in every preachers shoes .. how about praying for them instead of criticizing his way BTW THE LAUGHING WAS Towards Jack Cunningham . you see i happened to find the message he preached when he used this story... take the beam out of your own eye before trying to remove the splinter from his eye . i am through

that sure is my kind words i use be heavy in weight you know FAT :eek:.. people use say tp me your fat . i would say yes i am and i can lose weight.. then i would say to them your ugly what can you do? what Did God say about david being selected as king a rudy kid Man looks at the outward appearance God looks at the heart . i figure this post will be shut down i dunno i may even get suspended booted out.. your remarks shows' a lacking

I`m sorry you were offended; however, the speaker publicly ridiculed that young woman which is very wrong.

And I think you have taken my remarks of the speaker and his behavior much too personally. I have great respect for preachers as my father, uncle and grandfather were all preachers.

Let`s keep the remarks about the behavior at hand and not widen it to all preachers.

lets end this RIGHT NOW HIS BEHAVIOR was a confession to his peers he never riducibile any one.. since there is 3 generations of preachers in your family ..i suggest you respect the office i am by far apostolic nor do i hold to much of there doctrine. . But they that are saved are my bro-sis in Christ.
