Purgatory is a non biblical concept, as the blood of Jesus washed away and covered and atoned for all of our sins, and would be no need for us to atone for them at all
Agreed. I also have debated several Catholic members. Purgatory is a Catholic traditional teaching that has NO Bible support in any way whatsoever. However, the fact that the RCC teaches NONE Biblical things to their followers should not come as a surprise to any one. Purgatory is “a place or condition of temporal punishment for those who, departing this life in God’s grace, are not entirely free from venial faults, or have not fully paid the satisfaction due to their transgressions.” Source: Catholic Encyclopedia. But there is more involved in The very idea of purgatory because with that false teaching comes the Catholic doctrines that are attached to it such as prayers for the dead, indulgences, meritorious works on behalf of the dead to name a few and they imply that Jesus’ death was insufficient to pay the penalty for OUR sins.
They also held at one time Limbo as the place where all infants who died before water baptism go into would be like an eternal celestial day care center/nurseryHere's another one. If a person was never baptized by water immersion, then when they died and lived an obedient life will not go to heaven, but live for ever in Limbo. It's a beautiful place but they will never see God.
If the concept of Purgatory and Limbo really existed this turns Jesus' mission and Inheritance upside down.
Would thouest agree?

Absolutely agreed. Here's another one. If a person was never baptized by water immersion, then when they died and lived an obedient life will not go to heaven, but live for ever in Limbo. It's a beautiful place but they will never see God.

And that is because that is exactly what they are told their whole life. This is also why Catholics have schools so that they can indoctrinate the youth in their false teachings. My observation with Catholics is that they tend to mention church as we would Jesus
I take it you are referring to Limbo? How would we know Limbo is a beautiful place, since it doesn't actually exist?but live for ever in Limbo. It's a beautiful place but they will never see God.

The basic BIG problem with Catholic salvation is that they place sanctification process before justification, so essentially thru receiving Sacramental graces, one can get to a position spiritually can "merit" their own salvation, and that is Rome hated Luthor view that one can be at same time both sinner and saintAbsolutely agreed.
What that teaching does is to place the Catholic Church as an essential to mans salvation. In other words......The blood of God was not enough to pay the penalty from mans sins, man must DO SOMETHING TO HELP OUT GOD.
Yep!The basic BIG problem with Catholic salvation is that they place sanctification process before justification, so essentially thru receiving Sacramental graces, one can get to a position spiritually can "merit" their own salvation, and that is Rome hated Luthor view that one can be at same time both sinner and saint
Their biggest is taht they hold to and teach another and false gospelYep!
However, there are so many "problems" with the Catholic's theology, it is hard for me to say that this is their basic one.
I would have to say that IMHO, their basic problem is that they have rejected what God has said in the Bible for the traditions of men.
That does seem to happen a lot! Now, back to the topic of `Our Inheritance.`
