Do you hold to modern day prophets and apostles then?

If you are speaking of men who foretell future or as some say, predictive of events as did the Prophets in the Old Test, then NO.
If you are referring to FORTHTELLERS, (Teachers of the Word of God) then YES!
There are NO Prophets today who speak to or identify what is going to happen tomarrow or a million years from now. God said all He wanted to say and had it printed in His Bible.
Prophets were foundational to the church. The prophet proclaimed a message from the Lord to the early believers. Sometimes a prophet’s message was revelatory which was a new revelation and truth from God, and sometimes a prophet’s message was predictive. There was no Bibles in the early church and Most could not read at all. The Jews had some copies of the Law but early Christians did not have access to any of the books of the New Testament. The New Testament prophets/apostles “filled the gap” by proclaiming God’s message to the people who would not have access to it otherwise.
As for Apostles......NO!
Apostles were the foundational as well to the Church.
Ephesians 2:19-22 says,
"…you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. In Him, the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in Him, you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit."
Acts 1:21-22 gives us evidence of how the early church viewed apostleship. In this passage we see the apostles select the man who would replace Judas as the twelfth apostle. In this passage, Peter proclaims,........
“It is necessary that of the men who have accompanied us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us—beginning with the baptism of John until the day that He was taken up from us—one of these must become a witness with us of His resurrection.”
According to Peter and Jesus’ apostles, the new apostle needed to be someone who was associated with Christ, who had consistently sat under His teaching, and who had witnessed firsthand His ministry and life.
To those who would argue this, What about Paul? He wasn’t with Christ-like that. But Paul Himself was visited by Christ and called as an apostle in a very supernatural way, verifying his call to apostleship from Jesus Himself (Acts 9:1-19; Galatians 1:1-12). Furthermore, there was a unanimous affirmation by the twelve apostles, including Peter, that Paul was called by Christ Himself and verified to be counted among them (Galatians 1:18).
What about Barnabas? He wasn’t one of the twelve or like Paul was he? Barnabas was not one of the twelve, nor was he “like Paul” in the sense that Jesus personally appeared to him in a vision and called him to be an apostle.
So then........
Those pushing the modern day apostles and prophets agenda are of the same heretical lineage as the prosperity gospel and name-it-and-claim-it bunch. The "apostles" want to become cult leaders like Jim Jones and David Koresh.

Those who "want" to see miracles. speak in tongues and be a part in physical are the very same ones who believe there are Apostles.
Those gifts were given to ELEVEN men + Paul as Apostles to establish the church. NO ONE else has those "sign gifts" and there are NO, NONE, ZERO Scriptures in which there is any mention or suggestion of Apostolic succession! When John died, that ended the Apostles authority and the last book of the Bible was completed in the Revelation.
I do see that some pastors and teachers have been granted by God the means to apply prophecies in bible to modern day applications and setting, but there are none who ever have been given additional extra biblcal revelations as modern day prophets and apostles claim to be now receiving from the Lord. Only false prophets ever have shown up, as evidence by likes of Joseph Smith, Pastor Russell, and Ellen White
Yes, big part of those groups, as well as Dominion and Kingdom Now groups, basically bring down Heaven to earth of course in their own names and efforts

Agreed. The Oneness, Pentecostals and Charismatics operate on emotions instead of the power of the Word of God. They live in a world where they must experience an emotional high so as to be considered close to God in their mind. Of course that is a highly distorted view of what the Bible actually says.
However, because of their brainwashed condition, their mind and herts are open to deception and lies given to them by their leaders and teachers.
Agreed. However, IMHO that is not prophetic. That is simply knowing what God has said and then applying it as it is written.
You and I believe that the Full Gospel is the death, burial and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ which paid for our sins and established His church for believers.
"Those Groups" who proclaim to be Full Gospel Churches take that a step further and believes that the Holy Spirit is still doing everything He was doing in the New Testament Gospels:
1. He is still healing physically through the work of individuals,
2. He giving the gift of tongues to all who believe.
3. He is still performing miracles,
4. He is still allowing those with enough faith to prosper financially.
They have completely misunderstood and misapplied that Since Jesus is “the same yesterday and today and forever” - Pentecostals believe He is still operating in the world with the same methods.
They have set up a very cultic mind set, as they love to quote and use "touch not he Lords anointed" which means basically they see their leaders as speaking directly for God, no different then how Mormons view Smith, JW Russell, or Sda Ellen White
Indeed, no extra revelations, but wisdom from the Holy Spirit to apply what was already revealed to us
Supreme irony is that they claim all of this by the Holy Spirit, and yet allow outright heresies in their ranks, and big time money and sexual scandal's, is not he real Holy Spirit the Spirit of truth, so why would He be condoning all of these falsehoods?

I am not expert by any means and I am not anything special. I am however a Bible believer, and I have always tried to exercise great care when speaking to an issue. I believe that our response to any controversial issue must be with the correct application of Truth, and not with a commonly used idiom that unwarily pops into the mind and rolls easily off the tongue.
That being said, one of the most used comments when teachers of a false Bible doctrine use is...."TOUCH NOT THE LORD'S ANOINTED!"
I have heard that said over and over so many times that IMHO it is the only defence that those who preach falsely know.
This cry parroted as a counter to those who attempt to alert the unsuspecting of the dangerous, unbiblical teachings of a particular ministry. As a result, key religious figures fall into a category that is apparently safe from scriptural examination; since their ministries influence millions, they MUST be God's anointed--don't you dare "touch" them!
Those men and women know and use all the Biblical lingo and key words so they must be Godly.
The Bible facts are that the phrase ......."touching God's anointed" said to David concerning Saul In fact, God made sure that Saul was forced to face up to his compromise. The ministry of the King of Israel was judged according to the Lord's commandments, and no man today is exempt from this same kind of biblical scrutiny.
David refused to slay King Saul with the sword, even though in doing so, he would rid himself of his arch enemy, and also clear the way for his own ascent to the throne of Israel as seen in 1 Sam. 24:1-15.
It was God, not David, who would remove Saul in His time and in His way in 26:8-10.
BUT.....those who use that phrase insist that there is a "secondary application" found in this text which would also bar ANY negative comment about another's far-reaching false teaching ministry, for this, too, would constitute "speaking against" one of God's servants and is, in essence, "touching God's anointed." Is this a viable, secondary application? Absolutely not!

I don't know if you're refuting or agreeing (to an extent) Pastors and Biblical teachers who have been granted the ability to apply prophecies from the Bible in a modern day setting.
I have yet to witness Pastors or Biblical teachers apply prophecies from the Bible in a modern day application and setting. I do my fair share of "reaching out" to a community of 7 million (not a humble brag) and have witnessed their prayers to the Lord who filled His servants with wisdom, discernment of God's vision, plan and purpose for respective ministries to the people.
Philippians 3:13-14 says, 13 Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. - ESV
When we dig into the passage I'm sharing, I strongly believe the Old and New Testaments revealed the Prophets, NT Apostles (from the then and there times) and the Revelation for future times and Christ's Return.
Whatever push you mentioned about the NAR (New Apostolic Reformation) has not reached my ears or those in our Christian community. However, I'm sure they're out there along with other "questionable" Christian movements who continue to "come and go."

I don't mean to interrupt. Yes, miracles do still occur in these times. Do you still switch the channel and catch these TV evangelists, making people shake and then asking for money?
