4 Biblical Truths

The truth though is in many charismatic and Pentecostal circles, its almost looked at as being bad to have seminary/bible college training, as they much prefer the pastor have the "anointing of the Holy Ghost"
I agree completely, but Now why do you think that is the case? Why do Pentecostals look down on the educated?

IMHO, and it is what happened to me..........when a person who has the call to preach and then goes to a Bible school to learn how to do it...
and is then exposed to Bible teachers who actually read the Bible and expose the true meanings, those people then leave the Pentecostal faith because they learn that what they have been told by men is not what God said in His written Word.

Think main reason for that mindset is that somehow they equate getting higher education is relying upon your own smarts, and denying the "anointing of the Holy Ghost", as they would see that as the ticket to preaching

LOL............My church used to call me a "Bapticostal"!
When I still was in the AOG as a teaching Elder, went to one of their schools to complete my certificate in their biblical studies, and had classes with various churches represented, and my AOG friends told me would be great if not so Baptist in theology, while my Baptist friends told me would be great if not so Pentacostal

My dear friend......You can please some of the people some of the time but you can not please all the people all of the time.

My fundamentals were all Baptist but my enthusiasm was Pentecostal. Once when the choir was singing a very upbeat song, my choir director (Woman) and I danced down the isle and back.
