Book Recommendation

I'm beginning to think you DON'T SLEEP.... HA.
I was just reading that a common malady among old people is sleeplessness. Since I don't sleep as much as I used to, I make good use of my time learning new things.

In 2010 I suffered a severe heart attack of a type that has a 90% death rate (called a "widow maker") during which I was clinically dead for about a minute. As I was dying, I found myself apologizing to God for not learning everything I should have.

Well, obviously I didn’t kick the bucket😀, and now that I'm retired, I spend a lot of time studying all kinds of stuff, from cosmology to theology, that helps me appreciate God more and increase my wonder and worship toward him.

I know you were kidding, but I thought a little testimony might be encouraging to other brothers and sisters.

God bless you

Good morning, BibleLover;

I just read right now how you survived a heart attack from long ago. I know you've been through a lot, John, and it made me appreciate how much we're blessed to have you here with us.

We just returned home from overseas yesterday. While we were gone we reflected how we can't guarantee each new day, only God does. So when He blesses us with a new morning we try to remind ourselves to make the most of it, including resting and slowing down.

Prior to 2022 I was constantly "on the go" thinking there was not enough time in the day to "get everything done" which affected my sleep.

God bless you, brother.

Bob
