They're certainly adding requirements to the gospel that are not present in the true gospel. It's an error, but not a damning one. They're still providing the gospel sufficiently for people to be saved. I exclude Oneness churches from this qualification because an heretical body isn't a Christian church and cannot convey the true gospel. One that does not save lost sinners then?
Catholic and Orthodox affirm water Baptismal regenerating
Church Christ affirm must be water baptized
Oneness affirm must be water baptized in name of Jesus alone
Are all of these churches affirming a different Gospel then?
So you are saying that those churches have saved persons despite their bad theology? They're certainly adding requirements to the gospel that are not present in the true gospel. from the way i understand scriptures ..it appears so ..anytime strong emphases is place on water baptism in salvation.. that leaves the justification out which leaves the Blood out justified by Grace the blood and faith .w/o the shedding of Blood there is no remission of sins . note ** it does not say water baptismAre all of these churches affirming a different Gospel then?
Are all the Church of Christ, Roman Catholic, and Eastern Orthodox people going to hell because they are members of those churches?from the way i understand scriptures ..it appears so ..anytime strong emphases is place on water baptism in salvation.. that leaves the justification out which leaves the Blood out justified by Grace the blood and faith .w/o the shedding of Blood there is no remission of sins . note ** it does not say water baptism
hang on there just a second or what ever it takes i never judged anyone to hell however Isiah 8:20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them. Are all the Church of Christ, Roman Catholic, and Eastern Orthodox people going to hell because they are members of those churches?
So, biblically speaking the answer is yes. There are only 2 possible choices and answers: no, they're saved but mistaken or yes they're condemned to hell because as subscribers to strange fire they're not saved.hang on there just a second or what ever it takes i never judged anyone to hell however Isiah 8:20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.
2 Corinthians 11:4
4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.
if some one told you to be saved you had to be baptized.. what would you say. lets use the Bible
romans 3: 24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
verse 28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
romans 5:1
Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
what is justifed ? ceclared righteous just as if we never sinned... i would hope you would retract the part f going to hell . you ant add water baptism to the part of salvation... that would be law baptism follows salvation did jesus need to be saved because he was baptized ? your barking up the wrong tree when asking me if the go to hell .. no man has that authority however the above listed is Strange fire /leaven bread
here are only 2 possible choices and answers: no, they're saved but mistaken or yes they're condemned to hell because as subscribers to strange fire they're not saved.its your question you answer it.. this is not a court of law and i am not on trial.... its like i told the family in a funeral i did friday.. i cant preach anyone into heaven or out of hell... i do not have that authority ..i do have the authority to say what i feel is wrong.. i will Not nor can NOT agree with the apostolic teaching on salvation.. i am not interested in name tag religion.. when you leave the doctrine of the trinity father son HolyGhost and say they are same thing... then a person is in error ... in times past we have agreed on many subjects and exchanged points..
Every church has a bit of bad theology. There is no assurance of perfect theology. But there is theology that is clearly heretical. So you are saying that those churches have saved persons despite their bad theology?
Water Baptismal regeneration is a heresy, whether its is salvation by the Ordinance itself, or that somehow God works saving faith in the babyfrom the way i understand scriptures ..it appears so ..anytime strong emphases is place on water baptism in salvation.. that leaves the justification out which leaves the Blood out justified by Grace the blood and faith .w/o the shedding of Blood there is no remission of sins . note ** it does not say water baptism
IF they hold fully and accept their doctrines yes, as they promote a false gospel of works aiding their salvation. There are indeed saved persons in each of those groups, but saved despite their false gospel church holdsAre all the Church of Christ, Roman Catholic, and Eastern Orthodox people going to hell because they are members of those churches?
IF they are holding to water Baptism saving them, or speaking in tongues, or by being a member of a church, that would mean not trusting in jesus alone to save you from your sinshang on there just a second or what ever it takes i never judged anyone to hell however Isiah 8:20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.

True, but there is bad theology as in a church being KJVO, but that is different then another gospelEvery church has a bit of bad theology. There is no assurance of perfect theology. But there is theology that is clearly heretical.

Think that is why satan attacked the Seminaries so hard past Century, as he got into them limited inspiration bible views, evolution, men and woman have no difference in roles, Jesus not really fully God, not aphysical but spiritual resurrection, Jesusa way not the Way etc, and those places spawned out a bunch of pastors and teachers who brought heresy and bad theology back to their local chGood morning, cocoa and YeshuaFan;
Yes, there is theology that is clearly heretical. As far as Church having a "bit of bad theology," may I suggest putting it another way.
All Christian Churches, if we distinguish the desire to walk in obedience, our devotion to God's Word and applying it daily is sound theology.
Still, every single person is a sinner within the Christian Church. This doesn't equate to a bit of bad theology (study of God,) but living in disobedience.
The governance, autonomy or Church polity has never been perfect which is not bad theology. This is where God comes in to guide His Church because He is Perfect.
A bit or a substantial amount of bad theology begins with the Shepherd, or Church leadership who are leading the sheep - dishonesty, sin in secret, lust for members of the congregation, substance abuse in secret, etc...yet preaching and teaching the Word of God is hypocritical, thus bad theology.
YeshuaFan, many Churches have preference of translation, for example, the pew Bibles may be ESV, KJV, NIV, etc...But when a specific translation is being forced on the congregation could be your point though I have never experienced this with any Church, yet.
God bless you both.
Bob
