Proven, no. That's one guy's hypothesis. What of the pilot's testimony? One must assume he's a serious man who knows the damage to his career if he speaks out.
Many of the older democrats were won over by FDR and became loyal lifelong democrats. That made sense, in a way, because FDR was a great man.
Today, modern republicans have a lot in common with FDR democrats, but modern democrats have almost no historical precedents; they seem to have qualities akin to Mao's Cultural Revolution and Stalin's Soviet Union, but their leadership and political philosophies seemed to have been developed by inmates of insane asylums.
I cannot understand how a born again Christian could ever support the policies of such a party.
