Same here.My church is Independent Fundamental Baptist, so we've never had a problem with Charismatic behavior. Perhaps they're afraid of us; they might fall under conviction in our services.![]()
My advice is to have a civil, Christian discussion with them and explain the differences between them and you.As we had a time in the past when certain person came into the church who were "anointed charismatics" and wanted to make sure all of us got on now the "full Gospel" train
What ended up happening was that the Man ended up divorcing his wife, and while he kept telling me I would be a much better Christian if spoke in tongues and had the anointing, he still was crippled on one side of his body from a prior car accident, so where all of that "healing power" then?My advice is to have a civil, Christian discussion with them and explain the differences between them and you.
The mind can play some terrible tricks on people. What ended up happening was that the Man ended up divorcing his wife, and while he kept telling me I would be a much better Christian if spoke in tongues and had the anointing, he still was crippled on one side of his body from a prior car accident, so where all of that "healing power" then?
Just Ironic when meet charasmatics who almost brag about their special position now with tongues and power, an yet many of them in areas of leadership are falling into divorce, sexual sinning, and cannot get themselves physically healedThe mind can play some terrible tricks on people.
Remember........We like what we know even if what we know is wrong.
You present a really good question. Make sure you understand this, I have NO idea but I can give you an opinion. This is personal opinion.Just Ironic when meet charasmatics who almost brag about their special position now with tongues and power, an yet many of them in areas of leadership are falling into divorce, sexual sinning, and cannot get themselves physically healed
All of those so called teachers that you listed here though hold and preach and teach damnable heresies, as they claim Jesus had to get born again in hell, teach that we are gods, teach that Jesus never claimed to be God etcYou present a really good question. Make sure you understand this, I have NO idea but I can give you an opinion. This is personal opinion.
That is because they can not admitt to the fact that what they have believed is THE lie!!!! We like what we know even if what we know is wrong!!!!!
Genesis 3:2.....
“ ‘You will not surely die,’ the serpent said to the woman. ‘For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.’ ”
There are hundreds of millions of people in the world today who identify as either Pentecostal or charismatic. Among them there are certain leaders and popular voices who believe “weird” things and have amassed a considerable following among those who are gullible and undiscerning.
First of all, I must say that those who are regarded as “weird” believe in the foundational truths of the Christian faith. They affirm the Trinity, the virgin conception and incarnation of God the Son, the sinless life, substitutionary death, bodily resurrection, and personal return of Jesus Christ to consummate his kingdom. They believe that we are saved by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. To put it simply, they are our brothers and sisters in Christ, with whom we will spend a glorious eternity worshiping our Lord and Savior.
Do such folk sometimes say odd things? Yes.
Do they on occasion engage in practices that lack biblical support? Without question.
Can their ministry style be manipulative and presumptuous? Undoubtedly so.
Has Creflo Dollar, Kenneth Hagin, Benny Hinn, Kenneth Copeland, Paul and Jan Crouch, Fred Price, and Joyce Meyer preach and teach .....
"We are little gods"? It is all over the internet for anyone how wants to investigate.
However, isn't that exactly what Satan told Eve in Genesis 3:2???????
But none of that means they are not Christians.
i doubt that.. they are very strong willed and consider the baptist dead.My church is Independent Fundamental Baptist, so we've never had a problem with Charismatic behavior. Perhaps they're afraid of us; they might fall under conviction in our services.![]()
Now then.......since what YOU said is the absolute truth, we must ask what this says about those people who hear these damnable lies and heresies and still attend and support the ministry of those who say those things. All of those so called teachers that you listed here though hold and preach and teach damnable heresies, as they claim Jesus had to get born again in hell, teach that we are gods, teach that Jesus never claimed to be God etc
I am old, stressed, in pain and struggeling to get by every day, but not dead.i doubt that.. they are very strong willed and consider the baptist dead.
God sure judgement will be towards those who dare to peddle their heresy for monetary gain, who set themselves up as little gods, but those follow them I beleive are falling heed to seducing spirits, and need to have true preaching and teaching gotten to them to "wake them up"Now then.......since what YOU said is the absolute truth, we must ask what this says about those people who hear these damnable lies and heresies and still attend and support the ministry of those who say those things.
It staggers my mind that people can teach and preach "Jesus had to get born again in hell, teach that we are gods, teach that Jesus never claimed to be God"......and people will sit and raise their hands and shout AMEN brother!
This calls to my mind the condition explained by Paul in 2 Thess. 2:10-12.......
"and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 11 Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false, in order that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness."
Billy Graham once said that he believed that only 25% of those who attended any church service were actually saved.
I think he was on to something there.
What is interesting to me is that before the "baptism in the Holy Ghost and the tongues", many of them saw Catholic theology as wrong and heresy, but now see them and charasmatic catholics as one big happy family, as the tongues in common mean more than sound doctrines and heresyNow then.......since what YOU said is the absolute truth, we must ask what this says about those people who hear these damnable lies and heresies and still attend and support the ministry of those who say those things.

Strange bedfellows I would say. What is interesting to me is that before the "baptism in the Holy Ghost and the tongues", many of them saw Catholic theology as wrong and heresy, but now see them and charasmatic catholics as one big happy family, as the tongues in common mean more than sound doctrines and heresy
There is NOTHING that "we" can do or should do.Good morning, YeshuaFan;
This is sad, and we are aware. So my question to all of us is, what do we do about it, these disruptive Charismatics?
God bless you, brother.
Bob
What is interesting is that its mainly in those churches and groups that heresy is promoted today, as in some teach Modalism, others oneness, others modern day apostles and prophets, yet they claim to have the super blessing of the Holy Spirit, and yet have much more heresy and loose living from their shepherds?Strange bedfellows I would say.
Both agree that there are Apostles and prophets today which are both unbiblical.
Just curious, would you see the apostolic sign gifts still in operation, and modern day Apostles and prophets then?It seems to me that the squeaky wheel gets the most attention. Those of the NAR and Dominionist teachings are headed in the wrong direction with a power, authority and strange anointing NOT of our Lord.
All that appeals to the pride of men or to those who are towards emotionalism. They will partner with the world system believing they can change, and fix it, but will go head long to God`s judgment.
Meanwhile as the clear distinction between those of humble hearts following the Lord and these other hirelings, let us NOT throw out God`s truths that many stood for over the centuries - infilling of the Holy Spirit, the gifts of the Holy Spirit, the 5-fold ministries of the ascended Lord and His eternal purposes for - the Body of Christ, for Israel and for the Nations.
Let us continue to encourage one another as we press toward the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. (Phil. 3: 14)
