ANY here hold to Genesis not being literal historical Book?

I'll pass. If it's not literal, then neither was Christ's death at Calvary for our sins.
That opens a real can of worms brother. BIG worms as well.
I think it literally describes the creation of the earth and the things in it.
Now, it is important to recognize that this puts no requirements on me personally, say, for excluding such things as figurative descriptions, anthropomorphisms, exaggerations, and so on: instead I try to follow the conventions of the particular literary form we are studying.
Was there a literal garden of Eden. Yes.
Was there a literal Tigres river Yes.
Was there a Literal Jericho. Yes.
Was a literal Red Sea parted. Yes.
Now, there are Many" things that have to be considered and dealt with when it comes to LITERAL.
Consider that literally, Light on Day One did not come from the sun, as it was created on Day Four.
Then there is the literal Bible fact that the waters existed on Day One but the seas were not made until Day Three.
Then literally, the sea creatures of Day Five were to fill the “waters in the seas,” which were created on Day Three, not Day Two.
On Day Two it was not the sky that was created but the expanse raqia to separate the waters below from the waters above.
On Day Four literally we are told that God made the sun, moon, and stars and placed them in the expanse raqia created on Day Two, not on Day One.
Man was created on Day Six not to rule over the land and vegetation (Day Three) but over the land animals created on Day Six and the sea creatures and flying creatures created on Day Five.

As I have made clear, I don't think the word translated "day" (Yom) in this account indicates a 24-hour day. Some people would say this makes it not literal, but I disagree.
However, I am glad you asked the question.
Obviously, what was literal then is not literal now. The Fall changed everything; otherwise, words would have no meaning.
I will have to give your comment some more thought, but my 1st thought is.....I am not inclined to agree.
Foe sure, Sin has affected every aspect of our being. It has affected our lives on earth and our eternal destiny.
One of the immediate effects of the Fall was that mankind was separated from God. In the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve had perfect communion and fellowship with God.
However, and I am open for your advice, isnt black always black? Isnt a hard rock always a hard rock? Isnt water always wt. Those are "literal" adjectives that are always the same....right?
Our purpose was lost and our innocence was lost but are those things "literal"?
Was the fall of Adam a "literal/real" event....yes.
Was Adam a literal/real man...Yes.
Was Eve a literal woman made from Adams rib....Yes.
Help me out here.
Literal in that case was probably a poor choice of a word. How about 'perception'? The Fall has changed our perception...of our attitude towards God, and therefore His creation...of one another, and ourselves (this would be hard to prove, since none of us were there at the time).

The whole book? No, never but I have heard it suggested that, in Genesis, a person's listed age(ex. 900yrs) wasn't meant to be literal. This was moreso a think piece and not affirmed as an actual theological fact.
And I've heard so interesting thi is about the flood, some suggesting that there were survivors besides Noah and his family. Apparently, there were some cave drawings that suggested there were survivors...

The ages have been a topic of debate for as long as there has been people to debate.
I did a production many years ago on numbers in the Bible. They are absolutely fascinating. I would encourage everyone to to a study on Bible numbers and what you will se when you do is that God is the Master Mathematician.

many seek to have evolution and theology 'accomodated", but usually end up with then holding to genesis not describing literal Adam and Eve, no true fall, so messes with entitre foundations of the bible
many today deny Universal Flood, deny liberal 6 days, deny real Adam and Eve, ad worst of all, state Jesus made a mistake when he argued for all of those things being true
Yes sir. IF and or when we miss the introduction of sin into the human race, we miss the entire purpose for the coming of Messiah Jesus.
As a literal believer, I always look at what the literal meaning is 1st. However, as it has been batted back and forth several times here and in other places, I think that we have seen that the creation account cannot be interpreted literally all the way through.
Do we believe that something as huge and as powerful as the Sun, God created it and moon on the fourth day. Really??? THINK about that!
It seems to me that At least some of the account is poetic or symbolic (for lack of a better term) rather than precise.
Genesis does not give us any historical, factual and precise dates, and neither does it give scientific facts.
What then is it for? Primarily, it reveals God as Creator.
