God had his spotlight on!?

Ever seen Gods spotlight?
One tool in his arsenal He uses it
to highlight what’s going on,
But annoyingly doesn’t always tell the who, what why when
and I know seeing it is going to lead me off on an adventure of prayer

God had his spotlight on
in our church today
He only uses it when He’s got something important to say!
It shone out at Jesus baptism, on the Damascus road
Just two examples of previous times,
God must have something important to say today!
I saw the light and didn’t know why…
So, just in case
I did a cursory pass
down my prayer lists…
Nothing stood out,
Took a second look to see who the light was shining on,
No joy…
So I looked at the handbook
fell back to my default position asking, God Why?
It must be something important for God to light up the spotlight


Open my eyes to see what you are saying
Cos there’s none as blind as those
Who look but fail to see!

Happens to me... usually in the form of a heavy heart or deep sadness... Sometimes... the spotlight will shine and I know what I have to do. Usually... it's out of my comfort zone and I don't want to do it... but the NAGGING of my soul does NOT stop until I obey. Sometimes... I see it AFTER the fact... where I did NOT plan to stop and talk to someone... and as I'm walking away.... I just KNOW that I KNOW that it was a GOD moment.
