Are we way too much into Politics for our own good as Christians now?

All of that is 100% true and is not in question IMHO.

What I do know is that when we get to heaven we will have TWO surprises.

1. There will be people there that we never thought would be there.
2. There will NOT be people there who we know would be there.

i didnt say i followed southern baptist doctrine.. i follow the bible i listen to a lot of southern baptist ministries for i find strong meat compared to others. i enjoy asog when i find it.. for a while i enjoyed listening to as type Pentecostal.. till i got tired hearing how he glad no longer a Baptist.. personally i dont care what name tag anyone is affiliated with as long it its all bible. .. as i stated i am ordained gen baptist but i don't teach general baptist doctrine ..i preach the word . far to many worship the name over the door vs name in the heart

i have no doubt that is why is say imo and opinions are like noses we all have one

Thank you for the correction. I did not intend to mean that you "followed" SBC doctrine. please forgive the slip of the tongue.
However it should be noted that SBC doctrine IS foundational Bible doctrine.

I am a Calvinist Baptist, with views on doctrines very similar to Dr MacArthur's, but also have read/heard and learned from non Calvinists such as a Warren weirsbe and Chuck Swindoll. pretty much only group that I have no use for i their theology would be word of faith, dominion, reconstructionism etc

so noted *** might i add the general baptist the free will along with independent fundamentalist say the same thing. in fact i am sure you are aware buttt there is a list a mile long of baptist . our Pentecostal brethren feel the same way .. i did not need a apology nor do i think one is in order.. i listen to several southern baptist preachers.. i also listen to jay Vernon McGee. i realize there has to be some type identification in teaching . but it seems today we have a new doctrine every day .ii have been away for few days ..we went on vacation plus i bought new p.c had set everything up. probably should stayed with old p.c let my son put Linux on it

I shared with a Church earlier this month. No particular President or elected official is our Lord and Savior. It can start off as lower gas prices, receiving more money in your paycheck and striking deals on the world stage, but it can slowly fester into a human system of what we can grasp and believe.

Before you know it Christ can become secondary in our lives. This political gospel brings uncertainty whereas the Pure Gospel brings us certainty.

yes and as much as i voted for trump he loves attention and he likes his power.. the presidency is about prestige not so much we the people that goes with any elected official

that is the plan depend on gov instead of Christ . the Children of Israel said give us a king . we want to be like the rest of the world and the trend continues
