Good morning, YeshuaFan;

I overlooked your thread, What do you all think of the new 'Love Bible/"

When I read the article, the words "progressive Christians," "Love Bible" dislike the traditional views on God, and relationships are all an oxymoron.

"The faith values of a changing audience" has existed since the Old Testament, New Testament and during the Intertestamental period (400 years of silence in between the Old and New Testaments.)

During the Intertestamental period was a new movement considered progressive called the Separated Ones, or the Pharisees. In the New Testament was a progressive movement that the Jews called "The Way" or followers of Christ Jesus reference Acts 9:2.

Traditional views are not a favorable term in these times, however, God, His relationships and Word never change, they work! and have stood the test of time.

Authors Jacqui Lewis and Shannon Daley-Harris introduce their new book "The Just Love Story Bible" but come with rules for the progressive believers among the GenZ generation.

Praise God! Fact be known, we are already witnessing more Millennials and GenZ (ages 45 and younger) making their way to the True teachings of God's Word but there is still a lot of work reaching out to the lost with the Gospel Fluency.

Progressive Christianity to me is same as saying the Emergent Church, just another way of making the so called postmodern church keep teaching bad theology, trying to conform to the culture and world, not being salt to it

Hello YeshuaFan;

"Progressive," "Emergent" or "Postmodern" Church is already confusing for the new Christian, more so than the seasoned believer. You're right, this does lack salt and even light.

When a Church leader attempts to explain their doctrine between the three, or four or five, to a new visitor or believer, the doctrine and Truth may be compromised and watered down.

Unfortunately this has been going on since the Old and New Testaments only with a "different name and culture" during those then and these now times.

Until this present hour, was much easier, as we pretty much all held to the good ole Christianity preached and taught by the Apostles, but then we got hit with trying to accomodate evolution, cultural norms, new sexuality etc
