I started in LB. Calif., moved to Medford Oregon in 89, they wanted to put flavored condoms in the grade school lunches. So we moved again to Ohio, right smack dab in the middle of the Amish, lol. Been in rural Ohio ever since. Liberalism is everywhere, indoctrination by major media gobbles up even the best hearted people.

Oooooo I try to avoid telling folks down here I was born and raised in the “dreaded state of Ohio.”

Columbus then moved to Logan then attended OU Athens during full hippy riot time.

I moved to redneck county of Cocke whose cash crops were MJ and ‘backer. Taught in a 3 room school in a hollar. Talk about culture shock!

Uh huh! Hound dogs and cows who refused to move out of the potholed lane and “Sword Drills” contests lead by crusty Baptist preacher to the members of stairstep large families.

Been down here all of my adult life now and was privileged to have met and married my cultured redneck EE PE.

Soooo shhhhh please yep one of those d- Yankees who knows NOT to say up ___ we did it this way.

I 40 and I 75 still open!

From my Cousin now in WVA mother’s home area now deceased.
Cousin’s HS in Johnstown OH - party for 206 yr old at assisted living in Reynoldsburg, OH.

A friend of mine from High School (class of '74) invited <husband and I> to her mother's 106th birthday party.
This map in her living room has all the places she has travel to, lived in, stationed in as a Naval Captain's wife.

Class of '74? My alumni was the class of '75.

Not doing well BP is in crisis range at least once a day.
 
My Cousin is younger than I.

So is my beloved who claims I’m 2 yrs older not.
13 mo please!
Cradle robber eh?
He grad’d 👨‍🎓 in 73 being Jan 13.
Practically math major being EE.
Has me by at least 20 IQ pts.

Mine HS grad was in ‘71.
BS in ‘74.

Back then Dec babies in Columbus could go to kindergarten at age 4 as long as they turned 5 by Dec 31.

I always hung out with kids a yr. Behind me yet my same age when moved to Logan.

I should have listened to my mama and repeated 7th and none the wiser in the fall. I was doing OK in eighth so I didn’t do it.

My maturity always in question especially in Algebra because of dyscalcula.
How dare them mix letters with #s!
After being slow reader in 4Th I eventually excelled into speed reading.

Yes odd!

My math brain a snarled mess of tangled neurons Net path where in language center fewer brain cells that fired hot.

Now my brother ~ same IQ balanced both sides. He excelled in math. 4 yrs. My senior went into pharmacist.

Ironically it’s his training his downfall on trusting big pharma. So sad he did not do his research as I begged.

How many families had this internal struggle?
I know so many!

We are brought together now both facing eternity shortly.

~ seeking Jesus’s face!

Hello Mabel;

You continue to bring up good stuff. I was not good at math and only got as far as basic Algebra my freshman year in college. Ironically, after college I went into the accounting field (Business Math) for 23+ years.

I was not an avid reader so when I studied I had to re-read because my mind wandered. I almost invested in Evelyn Wood Reading Dynamics to learn speed reading but at that time of my life my academic discipline was not all that disciplined. I was having too much fun. lol!

I tried Science, Chemistry and Biology but again my mind wandered and didn't fare well in these subjects.

My strong subject was English, Business English, Communications and Public Speaking. This definitely helped me in the accounting field and later ministry.

Great getting to know you Brother Bob!

Having been blest throughout the years to have served hundreds of students Pre-K to PhD Level - the absolute blessing is to appreciate their uniqueness - GOD-given talents.
