Journal The Cabin

I am still at work and have half hour to go... and it's slow so... I have half hour to burn. HA

I haven't given a personal update in a very long time... so... here it goes.

I am basically fully trained at the boutique... of which I am most grateful. This means.... DA SHEEP can be left alone. HAHA.
I am good... as long as I don't make a mistake. I am not good with anything technology... so I try to make sure I don't make
any errors with button pressing... especially on the debit machine. Anyways.... It is well.
I have a short week this week as I am taking tomorrow off.

On Saturday.... DA sheep is going to the symphony. It's a Christmas concert... and I am going with my boss and her husband.
So excited. We will be enjoying a nice supper out. It's going to be so much fun.

On Sunday... we are hosting a fashion show at the Legion. I'm in charge of making sure we get all the clothes back. HAHA.

The boutique's final day is next Friday... and I will be working alone that day because my boss is off to Niagara Falls to see
a Matt Dusk concert. ( He sounds like Michel Buble )... After work on the 19th... I will be watching Mr. Morty for 2 or 3 nights.

The store is closed for several weeks after my Friday shift..... YES!!!. I will be able to say... I made it through a Christmas retail season. :D

I have not decided if I am going to do any baking.... which means.... YES I will be because guilt will take over and then I will go on a
rampage. HAHA.
I have decided to bring all my baking goods here to Mr. Morty's house and I can spend my two days of dog-sitting pretending that
I am Aunt Jemima.

Christmas is going to be quiet... and on the 26th... I will have my usual sleep-over at my friend Margaret's house which means
........................................................ I get to sleep with another dog. HAHA = Life is good.

So... that is it... short and sweet.

Love, DA SHEEP

My friend Bernie is bringing the Christmas tree.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this!!!!

Da Sheep is going to da symphony tonight
and... she will be sitting in da balcony...
waving at da people down below.

This is the yearly Christmas symphony of which I have never been.
Am going with my boss and her husband. SO EXCITED.

We will be going for a nice dinner and then to the performance.
LIFE is GOOD ... in DA HOOD.
I cannot contain my excitement....
I am going to the theatre to watch the symphony!!!! Oh my goodness... DA sheep is going out to the SYM-PHOOOOOOOOOONEE!!!

Good morning, In Awe of Him;

It must have been an exciting time, dinner and the symphony with your boss and her husband!

What a blessing! Let us know how it went.

You said "balcony," this flashed in my head. :)
CranberryArtworks ...Oh my dear friend... I have missed YOU!!! Welcome back... and
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.... oh my goodness..... these guys are who I thought of too...
I had such fun waving,.. and I did critique the show.... HAHAHAHA... Thanks for the good '
laugh... I sure hope all is well in your neck of the woods.

WELL... let me tell y'all about the symphony.... it was maginficent... and I am including my most favourite
arrangement of the evening. It brought tears to my eyes... it was so moving.

I am NOT an opera girl... oh my goodness... that was painful to listen to ... but it was part of the show... therefore'
I was most cordial to clap after each performance. I LOVED the symphony... but not the solo singing. Not sure if someone can just attend a symphony without singing but I would be all over that if it were possible.

The instruments were all so marvellous playing together.

I learned what a first violin is. In this case it was a woman.

T
he first violin in an orchestra is led by the Concertmaster, the most skilled violinist, who sits in the "first chair" (closest to the audience on the left) and acts as the conductor's liaison, leading tuning, setting bowings, and playing solos, effectively the leader of the entire string section and second-in-command to the conductor. The First Violin section plays the main melodies, while the Concertmaster sets the technical details for the whole group, ensuring unity and leadership.

I am so very happy that I went... and now... in half hour... I am being picked up by a fellow staff member to attend a fashion show that my boss is hosting at the Legion.
I'm in charge of not losing the clothes... HAHA. So that will be yet another experience. I am looking forward to hearing my boss introduce all the ladies ( who all came in earlier last week to the boutique to get fitted ).

The count-down really is beginning. I have 3 more days of work.... Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. The boutique is closed for Christmas after my Friday 19th shift.

All is well with DA SHEEP... she is BLESSED beyond measure and filled to overflowing with JOY... JOY... JOY!

That's great In Awe of Him;

Thank you for sharing more about the first violin. My problem with opera singing is I can hear the singer but don't understand what he / she is saying.
lol!

When you say you're in charge of not losing the clothes, do you mean the fashioner's clothing as they change, or the attendees who check in their coats?

he he he.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.... that cracked me up....

Good morning Bob.... I was in charge of handing out the outfits for the fashion show... and returning those clothes back to the hangers and account for them. Each lady had three different outfits from the store. We had a large room to do this in.

This has to be the BEST part of being in the Navy!!

Remember I said my friend Bernie was bringing the tree to the Cabin???
I'm not sure who DENIED delivery ( staring at Mr. Moose ) but... we NEED a tree now.

I told Bernie, "Bring it back decorated, eh."

Ive been once again doomed to eating glitter, as Christmas exploded through my entire home.
My seasonal wish is that my daughter becomes a minimalist, like me. Im not a scrooge, but Im not a fan of overdone.
Americans celebrate way too much nonsense.

HAHAHAHAHAHA..... oh my goodness... this is so comical to me because I was a SERIOUS MINIMALIST...
and then when I started working at the boutique... I was told I needed colour in my life... and so my boss came
over one day and decorated my home..... I am now a middle-a mist.
I don't like STUFF.... but I have to say... I now enjoy my home... and over time... I will come to know my style.
My rule is... if it does not cause me some joy... then I don't want it.

As for the glitter.... ONE thing was brought in... and I can't say I hate it... It's gold... glittery leaves that make a garland over
my curtains. It is stunning to look at but yep.... I am finding GLITTER every where. HAHA.
