God's Coffee House.............

Hi Yurii
That is so beautiful.

About two years ago a suburb near me, opened a church for the people from Ukraine, so they could feel comfortable in their church.

The church I used to go to invited them to our church, to welcome them..

Everyone had a lovely day. The children from Ukraine all wore traditional costume. They danced and sang and everyone loved them.

Your wonderful picture reminded me of them.

Thank you for the happy memories.

Have a great day Yurii
God Bless You and your family.l

Yurii, nice picture, my wife likes to watch "Foods from Around the World" which shows lots of rural Ukrainian cooking.
Hello crossnote,

Thank you very much for appreciating the picture! It's great to read that your wife enjoys watching "Foods from Around the World," which features a lot of rural Ukrainian cooking. I would be very interested in watching that show sometime. I love to eat ;)

By the way, since last September, I completely stopped eating meat. This has become part of my personal journey towards self-improvement and character development. I view it as a principle of reducing harm to living beings on Earth. Although I didn't personally kill animals for food, I was still indirectly involved. So, looking at various dishes from around the world will be very interesting.

And if anyone is curious whether it's easy to give up meat – no, not at all. It turns out that when you've eaten meat all your life, avoiding it in your diet isn't so simple. I think giving up alcohol was easier for me! :) And what's also interesting is that when I ate meat, I was overweight, and now my wife says I can try to wear the pants from our wedding, where I was young and handsome)))) It took me about six months of gradually reducing my meat consumption and then all the byproducts that contain it.

Thank you for your comment!

Yurii, my wife corrected me about the name, it's now called 'Food Around the World' (the name changed when the producer got stuck in Ukraine since the war broke out). It can be found on YT. Will be praying about your meatless diet and your 5 mo. old son.

I was a vegetarian for over 20 years. I found eating meat again for health reasons to be beneficial for me. I stopped having grand mal seizure activity.
My body/brain was so depleted from essential amino acids, I would seize to the point I couldnt even remember my own kids.
Funny how after two weeks of eating meat, chicken, eggs and cheese I stopped having them, and have not had one since.

I do not recommend a vegetarian or vegan diet, because I know from personal experience our bodies need complex proteins.
As always it a personal choice. These days there are plenty of supplements available.

Hello crossnote,

Thank you to you and your wife for clarifying the name of the show – "Food Around the World." It's interesting that the name change is related to the situation in Ukraine. I will definitely look for it on YouTube.

Thank you very much for your prayers regarding my son! Your support means a lot to us!

Hello thenami,

Thank you for sharing your personal experience with vegetarianism and returning to eating meat. Your story is truly striking and shows how individual the body's reaction to different types of nutrition can be.

I am very sorry that you faced such serious health problems, and I am glad that returning to eating meat, chicken, eggs, and cheese helped you get rid of seizures and restore your memory. This is an important testimony to how much nutrition can affect our physical and cognitive health.

I understand your recommendation not to follow a vegetarian or vegan diet, based on your personal experience. For me, giving up meat has become a conscious choice, related not only to ethical considerations but also to my inner feelings and desire for changes in my character. I also try to carefully monitor my condition and, if the need arises, probably I will need to be ready to reconsider my diet too.

Thank you for your opinion and for the information about the availability of various supplements. This is an important aspect to consider with any dietary restrictions.
