Yes when A&E sinned, God could have picked up His marbles and gone home He didn't have to die for us (hypothetically), but He did.Of course He could have, hypothetically, but since that action would have been contrary to His will, He would never have considered the possibility.
Everything that happened was pre-ordained before the universe was created.Yes when A&E sinned, God could have picked up His marbles and gone home He didn't have to die for us (hypothetically), but He did.
absolutely he could have but didn't...just like with Job there is some things we just will never know whyDo you believe God could have prevented satan from entering the Garden in the first place?
Do you ever wonder what would be if God had prevented satan from entering the Garden, there would not be any tears, suffering, death etc. But He did allow satan to tempt A&E,, I suppose, for a better purpose.absolutely he could have but didn't...just like with Job there is some things we just will never know why

The end result for us as the reeded will be better than was for Adam and Eve before their Fall, as we will have physical glorified bodies and eternally be with the blessed trinityDo you ever wonder what would be if God had prevented satan from entering the Garden, there would not be any tears, suffering, death etc. But He did allow satan to tempt A&E,, I suppose, for a better purpose.
I'm under the conviction that the only ones who had free will were Adam and Eve before the Fall. They used their free will, and the rest is history. Why did God give freewill to the thief or murderers is the same question He gave you and me freewill for the heinous sins we all have commited. Perhaps not as extreme as Hitler and Pol Pot but the same freewill, nevertheless.
yes i do my only thought was a testing of their faith . they had the instructions what to leave alone.. just like achan in joshua 7 the accursed thing.. what did he need with Babylon vest and gold bars out in the middle of no where..Do you ever wonder what would be if God had prevented satan from entering the Garden, there would not be any tears, suffering, death etc. But He did allow satan to tempt A&E,, I suppose, for a better purpose.
my question to that would be why did Paul write romans 12:-1-2 orbelieve as bac Christians, our wills have been set free to serve Him. apart from perfection.
Assuming we are speaking of Christians...
I'm under the conviction that the only ones who had free will were Adam and Eve before the Fall. They used their free will, and the rest is history.
Ephesians 2:1-3 ESV And you were dead in the trespasses and sins [2] in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience- [3] among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind.
Not even Jesus had free will seeing that he was bound to His Father's will to accomplish redemption for us whose wills run free apart from the grace of God. I believe as bac Christians, our wills have been set free to serve Him. apart from perfection.
I'd be of the conviction that the Father drew me to Christ, true once regenerated our desires change. When you and I became a Christian we had a choice on that day who we would serve. It was not forced upon us.
Which passage are you referring to? In both cases, Paul is referring to BAChristiansmy question to that would be why did Paul write romans 12:-1-2 or
Romans 6:16-22
We have limited free will remaining, as being sinners by nature and by choices, we can only choose to accept or reject what our sin nature desires, and some things we will never desire if left alone by ourselves, such as now getting savedHello crossnote;
Free will went beyond Adam and Eve and exists today "speaking as Christians."
In Matthew 26:53-54, 53 Do you think I cannot call on my Father, and he will at once put at my disposal more than twelve legions of angels? 54 But how then would the Scriptures be fulfilled that say it must happen in this way?” - NIV
Jesus had free will but gave the perfect example of being obedient to the will of our Father.
When you and I became a Christian we had a choice on that day who we would serve. It was not forced upon us.
God bless you, brother.
Bob
The Holy Spirit regenerated we who are saved unto salvation, as he enables us to now turn to Jesus and accept His offer of Salvation and eternal lifeI'd be of the conviction that the Father drew me to Christ, true once regenerated our desires change.
John 6:44 ESV
No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. And I will raise him up on the last day.
