1 Kings 1:52-53King James Version (KJV)
52 And Solomon said, If he will shew himself a worthy man, there shall not an hair of him fall to the earth: but if wickedness shall be found in him, he shall die.
53 So king Solomon sent, and they brought him down from the altar. And he came and bowed himself to king Solomon: and Solomon said unto him, Go to thine house.
American English Bible
52 Solomon said: 'If he's a valiant man, not a single hair will fall to the ground; but if he's evil, he will die.' 53 So King Solomon sent and had him brought back from the Altar. Then [AdoniJah] bowed low before King Solomon, and Solomon said to him: 'Now, just go back home!'

These are my thoughts, please share yours.

52 We can relate this story to our relationship with the Lord. We are not of worth without Him but we also at the same time were of worth because He gave us something that cost His own. Solomon was showing mercy and giving him a chance, by Christ we have a chance we do not deserve most will not take it unfortunately. We can only be made of worth by Him without Him we will be found bad and will then taste the death that does not end, hell.

53 God often sends us people with His message as Solomon sent these men, for us this is sometimes preachers a coworker who is dedicated to Christ a grandmother who tells us we need a personal relationship with the Lord, we also may have many messagers sent to us and may He will do it in the way He wills. This was not worship but was him being humble. We have to humble ourselves before King Jesus, He will show us mercy but no mercy is shown in the death.
