1 Kings 1:22-23King James Version (KJV)
22 And, lo, while she yet talked with the king, Nathan the prophet also came in.
23 And they told the king, saying, Behold Nathan the prophet. And when he was come in before the king, he bowed himself before the king with his face to the ground.
American English Bible
22 Then, {Look!} while she was still talking to the king, the Prophet Nathan arrived, which was reported to the king with the words, 23 'Look, the Prophet Nathan is here.'
So Nathan came into the king's presence and bowed to him with his face to the ground.

22 At this time the word of the prophet was encouraged by David since he was told his wrong doing with Beersheba, Nathan was the prophet God sent to tell David; David named one of his sons Nathan perhaps after this prophet.
23 He showed a respect to the king showed God still held him as king even though his son was trying to take the kingdom from him at this time. Samuel had very little to no contact with Saul after he told him that God was no longer behind him.
