1 Kings 1:45-46
KJV45 And Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet have anointed him king in Gihon: and they are come up from thence rejoicing, so that the city rang again. This is the noise that ye have heard. 46 And also Solomon sitteth on the throne of the kingdom.

45 then they anointed him in GiOn. So the sounds that you're hearing from the city are the sounds of rejoicing! 46 For Solomon is now seated on the throne of the kingdom,

45 Both David and Saul were anointed by prophets of God, David’s son who was trying to steal the throne was not but Solomon now was, this showed that no matter what David’s sons did Solomon would be the next king. The people were happy with God’s decision this does not always happen but not having the support of God or the people would result in failure sooner than later.
46 Solomon was now the king, no longer the next king but was set up as king, he may have shared the kingdom at this point with his father David. We as Christians will share a kingdom the kingdom of Christ which by His grace we are apart of.
