Global Religion: Satan`s Sway.



`the whole world (system and people) lies under the sway of the evil one.`(1 John 5: 19)

Because man listened to Satan instead of God, Satan has great influence over man and how he operates – the World System, (Political, Economic and Religious).

Remember how Satan showed Jesus the kingdoms of this world and offered them to the Lord if He would worship him, (Satan). Jesus said that we are to only worship the LORD God. The `kingdoms` are the people and their various systems of operating.

`Again, the devil (Satan) took Him (Jesus) up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. And he said to Him, “All these things I will give if you will fall down and worship me.”

Then Jesus said to him. “Away with you, Satan! For it is written, “You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall serve.” (Matt. 4: 8 & 9)



So how does Satan and his subordinate demonic rulers with their host of demons deceive people? There are three main areas that the `spiritual hosts of wickedness` operate in the World System.

The Lust of the Flesh.

Lust is a longing especially for what is forbidden. Our fleshly senses are not to rule over us. Our desire for food, shelter and pleasure etc. are not to be taken to excess but kept in moderation.

The Lust of the Eyes.

The wrongful longing for the things of the World System can lead to great debts. The wanting of the latest, new thing, or the accumulation of objects leads many people to buy things they cannot afford and they become servant to the lender, the banks of the World System. (Pr. 22: 7)

The Pride of Life.

This pride is a self-confidence and not relying on God. It is an inordinate desire to have the position, authority and power that man`s institutions can give.


God`s word warns us of these three areas.

`Do not love the World System or the things in the World System. If anyone loves the World (System) the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the World (System) – the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life is not of the Father but of the World (System).` (1 John 2: 15 – 17)

I appreciate your efforts to enlighten us. It is clear that you love the Lord.

I think I know where you are coming from and you are welcome to correct my thinking if I am going down the rabbit hole.

The concept that the world has been under Satan's rule for 6000 years is a belief held by some Christian groups, particularly those who follow the teachings of Ellen White and the Seventh Day Advantists.

According to these teachings, the earth has been under Satan's influence since the fall of man, and this influence is evident in the current state of the world. The belief is that this influence is part of a larger plan, and that the end of this influence is imminent. However, this belief is not universally accepted within the Christian community, and there are differing opinions on the interpretation of scripture and the timing of the end of the world.

Having said that as a basis of understanding/context.......I do not think that this idea makes up a World Wide Religion which Satan is the head of at this time. For sure that is coming!!! Maybe tomorrow.

Whether it's called Global Religion, World Wide Religion, New World System, I feel these organizations will mislead people in their direction and ultimate goal of global dominance. No doubt who will be their influencer? But I notice these organizations do not mention or give guidance to the Christian System, or Christian Direction.

In a Christian System, or Christian Direction, those who are followers of Jesus Christ, will adhere to His teachings and gain wisdom and knowledge in sustaining them from the Global Religion, World Wide Religion, New World System, etc...

In Matthew 4:8-11 illustrates the Global Religion, World Wide Religion, New World System, and Jesus gives His leading example and rebuke;

8 Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. 9 And he said to Him, “All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me.” 10 Then Jesus said to him, “Away with you, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.’ ” 11 Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him. - NKJV

No leader representing the Global Religion, World Wide Religion, New World System went to the cross for the misled who love the things of the world.

1 John 2:15-17, 15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life is not from the Father but is from the world. 17 And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever. - ESV

We co-exist with the world but are separated from the world because we are born of God and strive to keep our minds set on Jesus. We are also equipped to be set free from our sin. Because we are born of God we are protected from the evil one and being swayed by him.

1 John 5:18-19, 18 We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he who has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him. 19 We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one. - NKJV

In the world the rich rule over the poor, but the follower who is poor, is rich in Christ.

Proverbs 22:7, 7 The rich rules over the poor, and the borrower is the slave of the lender. - RSV

Marilyn, I understand your thread may be a warning to the follower who sways or the person who gives no care or attention to Jesus and His teachings. May God bless you for that.

I agree the Word of God and His foretelling in Scriptures is yet to come. But God gives us insight when these things must take place. It's called a spiritual battle and one of the great weapons is prayer for the lost especially in leadership and using our disposition to be that salt and light to others.

So good of you both to follow this topic and because I know you both have a good understanding of God`s word then I can rest assured that the topic will be carefully scrutinized. Of course, my hubby and some fellow Christians have proofread it and given feedback.
