In the endless prattle of words the heart of a fool is revealed. Words come each day as a constant stream, as a mighty river that seeks to cause the foundations to be moved. Words built upon partial truth and words built upon absolute lies come as a torrential rain and as a flood that beats upon the foundations of truth. In the war against truth the enemy is relentless and they fight against the foundations of truth with words and they use feigned sincerity and fear to seek to destroy truth. Some have the ability to lie with great sincerity and often use words to cause the poor to fear, the elderly to fear, the sick and the hurting to fear.
In the battle of words truth can be easily swept away as tottering wall in a mighty flood. To stand upon the foundation of truth can prove to be difficult when truth is a small quiet voice not often or easily heard. The Lord is that small quiet voice that still speaks and he is the voice that still guides those who will hear. Often in the mighty wind, and the earthquake and the raging fire it is difficult to hear, but the voice of truth still speaks. Darkness is currently winning in the battle of words, and words of truth are often squelched by the sheer volume of the rhetoric of lies, but do not be deceived, truth still remains and truth will not be silent, and the days approach when truth shall be heard as a trumpet call that shall be heard all around the world. Withstand the raging flood and cling to the foundation of truth and let your voice be heard for truth shall go forth in the days before us.
1 Kings 19:11-13 "And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the Lord. And, behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and broke in pieces the rocks before the Lord; but the Lord was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the Lord was not in the earthquake: (12) And after the earthquake a fire; but the Lord was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice. (13) And it was so, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out, and stood in the entering in of the cave. And, behold, there came a voice unto him, and said, What do you here, Elijah?"
