A Sure Foundation

So this is what the Sovereign LORD says:
“See, I lay a stone in Zion,
a tested stone,
a precious cornerstone for a sure foundation;
the one who trusts will never be dismayed.”

“Listen and hear my voice;
pay attention and hear what I say…
His God instructs him
and teaches him the right way.”

In that day the LORD Almighty
will be a glorious crown,
a beautiful wreath
for the remnant of his people.
He will be a spirit of justice
to him who sits in judgment,
a source of strength
to those who turn back the battle at the gate.

~ Isaiah 28:16, 23, 26, 5, & 6

Jesus Christ, our Lord, Savior, Messiah and King is our sure foundation for our salvation and for the Christian life. He gives us all the strength, wisdom and understanding we need to live godly and holy lives while we wait for his return. We turn back the battle at the gate when we use the armor of God with which he has so amply supplied us for combatting our enemy Satan, and for resisting the devil and for fleeing temptation. Amen!

A Sure Foundation / An Original Work / May 27, 2011

Based off of Isaiah 28:5, 6, 16, 23 & 26

This is what the Sovereign Lord says:
“See I lay a stone in Zion,
A precious cornerstone,
A sure foundation;
The one who trusts will ne’er be dismayed.”

This is what the Sovereign Lord says:
“Listen and hear my voice speaking;
Hear what I say to you;
Please pay attention;
Your God instructs, teaches the right way.”

In that day the Lord Almighty
Will be a glorious crown for
The remnant, His people;
He’s the source of strength to
Who stands against evil; turns from sin.

2 Peter 1:3-4 3) His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness. 4) Through these He has given us His very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.
