A Winter's Night
___________________

A Winter's Night begins
When the world is blanketed in white
And the Moon is a Midnight Sun.
A bitter wind brushes my cheeks,
The stars twinkled like diamonds against a black velvet sky.
Tonight is a Winter's Night,
Oh so crisp and clear.

My breath turns to ice,
My body becomes as cold
As the night around me.
My veil is the moonlight,
Clear and crystalline.
My roof is the sky,
dark yet bright.

Tonight is a Winter's Night,
For laughter and cheer.
For behind closed doors
The magic of wonder and love,
And happiness is being created.
For golden windows
And smiling children are the sights I see.

Tonight is a Winter's Night,
Blanketed in smooth whiteness.
And a Winter's Night,
last every night...
In our hearts forever and ever.
