All tracks lead to Kings Cross

Just a bit of silliness for a Monday morning

Kings cross is a station terminus
(in London UK)

Full steam ahead

A train spotting anorak’s psalm?

I’m heading full steam
To the terminus
on platform 5
Jesus will be there to meet me
He alone knows the timetable,
Knows when my glory train will arrive
Started off shunting round
a branch line,
to the middle of nowhere and back again

No sense of direction
TIL I met the fat controller
TIL the fat controller
Saw my plight.
Told ‘Dai to self’ the faithful signal man
To set the tracks…
I was heavenly bound!
To meet the great platform master
at the mighty Kings Cross,

There would be many junctions, sidings, sidelines, To negotiate on the way,
Stations, bridges, viaducts
To distract concentration
Speed limits to keep you safe,
Signals to advise you
It is safe to proceed,
To stop and wait a while,
Green light when you’re good to go
To keep you on the right track.

Whether your traveling
With GNER, GWR-Gods Wonderful Railway, Midlands, Virgin or Scot Rail
( other denominations are available)
They all on the same track,
