I am so sorry, Sister. I though this thread was about SOUPS so I've missed a lot. Now I'm going to have to put in time to read and absorb WORDS, which I love. I love to read, read, read ! Thank you and again im sorry ive been missing this.
I kinda like to think of this as a place to feed (or get fed), in the body of Christ.
I throw everything into the pot and give it a stir with the click of the Alphabet on these keys.
Being a garden is a comforting thought, of planting words.
Please feel free to post soup recipes though!!! Great Idea!
Greek Lentil Soup (like my mom made it)
- 12 ounces brown lentils
- 1 or 2 tablespoons garlic the way you like it, or not
- 1 large onion, chopped fine
- 1 or 2 large carrots, chopped fine
- 2 or 3 stalks worth of celery leaves chopped fine (optional)
- 1 can diced tomatoes or 2 large fresh (optional)
- 2 quarts water
- 1 tablespoon dried oregano
- 1 pinch crushed dried rosemary
- 2 bay leaves (remove to serve)
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- salt and ground black pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red wine vinegar
- 1 tablespoon of Italian seasoning if you like halfway through
- with a good splash of any red wine
- and the peel of one orange (moms secret-remove to serve).
- Cook on a med low heat till "done".
- Serve this with a hot sauce, or Cajun style seasoning those that desire heat.
- Can be served with rice on the side, and added for those who need those proteins.
- This recipe gives you options on whether you like more veggies.
- Exclude what you dont like and add a few more beans for body.

yanno the older I get
you would think I'd have more patience
it escapes me like I breath sometimes
depending on the circumstance
is it patience or tolerance
how much of a difference is there?
for right now I choose no answer
cause for most things Im a rock
unmoved by earthly endeavors
like an old oak tree in a hurricane
I can take a hit and stay planted
but then these vehement no's
fly with abandon from my lips
released from my maximum facility
there they are free in the daylight
recklessly speeding and uninhibited
without even so much as a glance
so beware for women do know how
to fly their brooms with grace
and their inner compass glowing
with the light of our Lord
using discernment and intuition
for they are swords of defense
therefore I will now answer
No I Am Not Impatient
nor am I tolerant of rubbish
I simply refuse to be accepting
of the garbage some try
to either feed me or place
at my feet like retribution
take your trash to a landfill
no dumping allowed!
