Alphabet Soup Garden Varieties

ok.... ok.... I can pull them on!!!
Im no where near getting the zipper up though.


this journey has been a difficult one
not harder than others just different
seems like life has a way
of teaching us new things
when we least expect major changes
its with a PooF they race forward
like a speeding car on the autobahn
forever molding us from old to new

and sometimes Im just lucky enough to breathe
 
when we follow the Lord with all our heart
to pray earnestly for a successful outcome
our sails can be adjusted to the current wind flow
as the destination can bring greater understanding

no matter what that is in this life we live
we dont always have to like our circumstances
but here they are and it is up to us to change
even if it is only a point of view through His love

inspiration comes in many forms and places
to prosper we must learn to bend with that wind
our firm foundation will keep us on the ground
no matter what the current chooses to bring

when internal energies are aligned with the Lord
we remain flexible enough to withstand anything
and external forces wont be able to break us
no matter how hard they try...
 
modesty is an old friend that lives here
she likes to play dress up with my clothes,
sometimes I say no to things she holds dear
grandma fashions like a model she'll pose,

there can be style while I clothe me
nothing too short too loud or revealing,
like a happy medium all can see
it is all about my inner feelings,

in this day and age it is not easy
to balance appropriate attire,
with what makes me happy thats not cheesy
while my comfort does not go haywire,

so I do try my best to dress nicely
in more updated fashions of today,
finding things on sale is my likely
with some modesty I do also pray...

doesnt matter where we find it
so long as it doesnt hurt anyone
its like a treasure deep within
except it wont need a shovel

sometimes it makes us scream
maybe even cry aloud
the simple things say it best
like a smile or a laugh

happiness is a gift of living
beautiful and unencumbered
it usually doesnt cost anything
to create memories to cherish

might I share more of it daily
to smile with kindness when I can
remembering I shine for our Father
and my happiness is His, too
 
sometimes I can feel out of place
my home just isnt mine
sometimes its like Im a sweater
in a lost and found box

that is when I pray uncomplicated
for that is what salvation really is
the black and white truth
which grounds me again

to remember I am always His
He is right here inside my heart
and I m certainly right
my home just isnt mine

for my home is in heaven
what a glorious thing indeed
I know it will be that and more
simply I can never be lost again

and that beauty is all I need
to know where my place is
for our Father prepared one for me
in my forever resting place
 

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:​

A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace

we have our ups and downs
times of increase, times of decrease
all make us thankful
for everything our Father chooses to give us
might we remember always
to find some happiness joy and love
in the many things this life shares
even in times of sorrow
we have memories to cherish
in times of struggle
we still can find hope
so now is the perfect time
to forgive ourselves as the Lord forgives us
and to share kindness daily
 
love is a beautiful thing indeed
it hugs us like a sunset
made to glow in every color possible
to squeeze every bit of fascination

out of ours and into someone else's heart
only to fill it once again with wonder
possibility hope happiness peace
and somehow with perfection

we choose not to see anything but
and that is the splendor of it all
as it turns from daylight to moonshine
to twinkle brighter lumens than stars

like they are there to keep us company
on a journey from day to day
a roadmap which is never written
but a future guide to say here I am

enjoy me for every moment you can
cause there is nothing that may plan it
for our Father in heaven makes it so
as love is a beautiful thing indeed
 
looks like another one might be coming
you know the kind that makes us want to scream,
there it is out at sea just-a humming
this time of year it is the current theme,

lets go out and buy some milk eggs and bread
it wont matter if the power is out,
might we all be thankful not to be dead
cause under water we can pray not pout,

so dont hit us with a shot hurricane
we've already endured tribulations,
please do not bring us emotional pain
and spare us from storm obliterations,

Father in the name of your Son Jesus Christ
spare us from this great serenity heist~

(may we make it through hurricane season)

I stepped on the scale and Im down almost 40 pounds. It sure feels like it.
My feet, ankles, knees and hips dont hurt so badly anymore.
I think it doesnt look like I lost this much.
Maybe its because it was an all over thing?
Whatever, the goal was feeling better!
Yay!
 
Heavenly Father...
Thank you for your goodness and promise to walk before us in our lives.
Thank you for assuring us that we need not worry about provision and protection.

I am so proud of my sister thenami .... I am blessed to witness her progress these last months.
Her courage and resolve to getting this procedure done... so that she can have a better quality of life.

Thank you Father...that slow and steady wins the race... and keep my sister's eyes on the prize...
which is living her best life for CHRIST.

CONGRATULATIONS my beautiful sister!!!!!!

there is still so much damage from last season in the Ashville area

it rather calming to know
at almost 5am here in NC
Im am here but not alone
for the Lord is always with me
and reads everything we write
though no one else is logged in
He is!!! What a glorious thing!!!
I find comfort in that fact
and shall now go rest for an hour
before starting my day :)
 
I do not believe they will offer me this position. Either way, it might have been too much work for me to handle.
My back issues remain even though I feel much better losing weight.


what we think we want
might not be what is best
for the Lord knows all
He has us in His hands
decisions made include
much more than we realize
and at the time we think
with our brains and hearts
forgetting about our soul
when that is what matters
the most...
 
I am sometimes asked
why I believe the things that I do
like they are ridiculous acts of fiction
that have no proof or meaning
they are simply words written by men
to tell some kind of story

I do agree the bible tells a story
one of history and great hope
hardships and triumphs
I choose to believe the majority
it may not be as accurate as it can be
being it has been translated repeatedly

I read this book like it is a manual
one which gives me instructions
to use the tools given to man
which do confound the wise
who do not agree with any of them
I can only hope many will someday

for me it is a feeling deep within
a contentment inside my being
the gift of intuitions and knowledge
I am like a container for His spirit
and it is the only good thing in me
pure honest charitable kind and loving

when asked what or why I believe
my answers are easy to state
some might even question my sanity
but for me I dont require scientific proof
so yes I do feel different than non-Christians
because I have been reborn to be

the gifts I have been given freely are special
for they are from our Fathers own hand
as I look forward to feeling them daily
its His own way of communication
without the words or noise of the day
just the way He chooses it to be

knowing this brings me happiness
for I will have a forever home in heaven
might I share His light in this dim place
from a spark to a blazing fire to be seen
might I always do my best to shine for Him
so others can see His light in this darkness
