I thought we great lake Baptists were the "real" Baptists!
He could not abide by his own AOG rules, so made his own!Not according to Jimmy Swaggart.

I hope for the sake of him and his wife and kids that he has found deliverance for his sinful practices!

Just ironic to me that many in Charasmatic Movement thunder on about having the second act of grace, power of the "Baptism of the Holy Ghost", and yet many pastors and leaders there still get caught up in sexual sinning
TV preachers as a whole I shy away from. One of Swaggarts fellow preachers on a panel show said Swaggart was an apostle. That sent up a red flag for me.
I guess that 2nd blessing was not enough!
Do not think that An Apostle would be holding to and teaching some of his theology though!
An independent church organization pastor here locally was found to be the leader of a wife swapping ring among couples in his own church, and others outside the organization. The congregation heard about it through the local media news at prime time 6 PM local broadcast, and so about half the congregation demanded that he resign, the other half wanted to just forgive and move on. He refused to resign, and so the church split, and went down hard.
This was a sobering lesson to all Christians who seeks to live and walk by the Spirit. It's a lesson to us all that sin has ramifications and powerful ripple effects all around.

remember listening a famous Christian pastor/preacher on his TV show state that for years he was able to deliver powerful sermons, see the Lord use the scriptures to touch lives, and yet was lusting at women in the front way all of the time!
