An Original Cartoon A Day

I am really attracted to your style, LearningToLetGo, as it has that old-fashioned storybook feel to it that I've attempted to emulate.

I'm into sort of a new technique which encompasses various different styles I've used in the past, like scribbling & finding the image, sketching & refining the image, in just a general cartoon format.

It's a very spontaneous and enjoyable experience, as I am not concerned with line placement, there's no erasing of sketch lines, and I am also generally pleased with the product.

This cartoon was spontaneously created after awakening from a dream:

Though I'm not an artist I do enjoy going to art shows and museums. I can stand in front of an art piece and enjoy what it says to me from all the detail.

I did notice the sketch lines but saw the art through it.

God bless you, Davey Do.

The scribbles add the sense of movement and shadows. Love it. I assume this dream meant you like to dig your own holes. You know the saying, when you are in the hole, stop digging.

Agreed, Big Moose- scribbles also convey to me a sense of movement, of freedom.

In my current state, your interpretation of my dream, "when you are in the hole, stop digging", are rather profound.

Thank you, Bob, and Jason for your involvement, support, and comments.
