“Go ahead and be angry. You do well to be angry—
but don't use your anger as fuel for revenge.
And don't stay angry.
Don't go to bed angry.
Don't give the Devil that kind of foothold in your life.”
Ephesians 4:26-27

“The fastest horse cannot catch a word spoken in anger.”

Hello Bob;

I see you used the Message translation. I was sharing during Bible study last night that the more we read the Word and pray, the more we get built up by God, especially in preparedness against unrighteous anger.

I gave an example of the whole armor of God filled in us when we are confronted with anger in the church. Ephesians 6:10-20.

Should a Christian get angry beyond anger with another Christian, that second person filled with the Spirit cannot be moved, it will sting or hurt, yet remain calm exposing the bitterness of the angry Christian.

This encouraged all of us in the study group, giving glory to God.

Hopefully the angry Christian will get filled with conviction and apologize to the second person who then should offer forgiveness.

In the church some Christians struggle with both, releasing uncontrollable anger and being confronted with uncontrollable anger, and will find it hard to make room for forgiveness. So as the unforgiving result of unrighteous anger from both ends continues to coexist with the body of Christ, this becomes unhealthy.

God bless you and your family, Bob.
