Another mass shooting in a Church here in Mi

Happened yesterday at a Mormon church in Brand Blanc Mi, and shooter was an ex Marine, highly decorated, whoi took it upon himslf to drive his pickup thru their front door, open fire and kill 4 persons, another on critical list, and several more in hospital, and also burned doewn therir building. 7 persons still missing, and think might have been burnt alive in the building

feel really bad for them, as nbeing Mormon, would not have any real hope now, and my prayers are for those people to somehow have the Lord comfort them and get out to them the resl Jesus and real Gospel at this time

Please clarify, what does "as nbeing Mormon" mean? You posted, "would not have any real hope now, was there a time you had hope then?

Schools and churches are easy and soft targets for the mentally deranged. I would expect to see more and more.

Before I retired, I had 6 people in the church stationed with weapons on their person. I had talked with those people and discussed how important it might be that they have the courage to shoot someone who entered and started to shoot those in the church.
I also had a weapon behind the pulpit.

Trust in God for protection but do not leave your brain on the doorsteep of the church!

We never had an incident but we were prepared just in case.

Last year the Tennessee law changed to allow anyone to conceal carry without any permit. I would hope this provision would help make vulnerable targets a little safer.

Just makes you wonder if this would be a sign of satan being allowed to be more out in the open, as in can have demonic persons execute his plans more open basis now, as think anyone who would do what shooter did was not "merely sick"

My son was stationed for a bout a year in Marines in Texas, and they are allowed to carry in trucks load firearms, so would suspect much less shooter activity in that state, and they also still practice capital punishment, so that might make someone think twice before doing the crime

I would not think so. It just confirms that we are surrounded by lunatics. We always have been but now the ease at which men can find guns has made it a lot easier.

Also, the on going of cutting back on the police sends a signal to those lunatics that they have a chance of getting away.

Florida now has an openly carrying a firearm in public becomes legal Sept. 25, according to a Sept. 10 decision by a three-judge panel in the 1st District Court of Appeal.

Personally I have had a concealed permit longer that I can remember. In Florida, an honorably discharged veteran can get one with out charge and a test.

If.....schools would train selected teachers to use and how and when to shoot, we would see a drop in school shootings.

As of today, those who do these things know that there is NO defense against them.

Just does seem that mass shootings and shooters targeting churches are way more out in the open and on the increase

They are. As stated........the ability to get and use guns, mental illness and schools and churches are "soft" targets.

Those who do these things are not stupid, just crazy!
