Actually, Peter called Paul's writings scripture...
(2Pe 3:15) And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;
(2Pe 3:16) As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
Paul was not moved by the Holy Spirit when he wrote?...
(Gal 1:8) But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
(Gal 1:9) As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
He is taking an authority higher than the angels, which could only be by the Holy Spirit.
Hi Crossnote, I definitely agree with Peter in 2 Peter 3:16 when he says that Paul has said things that are hard to be understood. For a few years, I have found myself scratching my head and trying to understand what Paul means about certain issues.
I personally find the other bible writers to be more straight forward and easier to understand. However, through much prayer and help of the Holy Spirit, God has helped me over the years to understand what Paul means on some topics.
I think it takes years to understand the bible, and even today, I do not understand some of Jesus's parables. I pray that God will continuously still help me and others.
