Psalm 85:6 -
Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?

With a ‘church’ like this… By 'Alan Heeley'

With a ‘church’ like this who needs satan
a ‘church’ like this with a blurred vision
Just can’t see the wood for the creeds
satan, he is laughing
with the church on the road to self destruction
With a church like this
satin not having to lift a finger
Stop doing satin’s work for him
The ‘church’ managed it all on it own!

Forgetting the plank in their own eyes
Highlighting the splinter, bringing the house down.
Words escaping cannot be withdrawn
Kills the spirit and the soul
Sin, It not only what you say it’s the way you say it!
There’s not enough rocks to throw to takeaway the anger
That’s welling up
Boiling over
Stop doing satin’s job for him
Stand firm
On holy ground!

2 Corinthians 10:5
5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

2nd Timothy 1:7
7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Poem#1 Take Captive - By 'Walker'
2nd Corinthians 10:5, 2nd Timothy 1:7

Learning every day to take thoughts captive that don’t belong
Thoughts that pull us down instead of lifting up the Holy Name
We’re not given a spirit of fear, but of a sound mind to use

Taking whatever thoughts that don’t belong that are twisted
Taking them to the Cross to die with Jesus washing us clean
The Cross still stands even while living in victory with Jesus

Taking every thought captive bringing them to the Cross
Word games of the Devil ends at the Cross of Jesus Christ
We’ve been raised Forgiven as the Cross killed Our Sin Forever

Patience to me

patience is for me to learn quietly
to breathe deep silent breaths and then release,

it is not doing things begrudgingly
simply to get them done and to cease,

I choose to make the time for deeper thought
and find a healthy way to process them,

the Lord is here and can hear my distraught
and through prayer can polishes me like His gem,

be not hasty or angry but thankful
rejoice in His hope love mercy and grace,

I do try my best to always be faithful
even if sometimes I feel out of place,

it is good to take time to rest and hear
His written words of instructions for man,

and just maybe we can all find it dear
to discover more patience in our hand~
