Here is a list of books that I think are the 'essentials' for anyone serious about learning the Bible.
King James Bible
Strong's Concordance
Dispensational Truth by Clarence Larkin
The Book of Daniel by Clarence Larkin
The Spirit World by Clarence Larkin
The Kingdom in History and Prophecy by Lewis Sperry Chafer
Things to Come by J. Dwight Pentecost
Interlinear Greek English New Testament by George Ricker Berry
The Englishman's Greek Concordance of the New Testament by George V. Wigram
The Englishman's Hebrew Concordance of the Old Testament by George V. Wigram
God's Secretaries: The making of the King James Bible by Adam Nicolson

The last is written by an unbeliever and doesn't really add anything to understanding the Bible per se, but it is good to help a Bible student understand the common version of the Bible in English.
